When my father died I went to the funeral home very early before anyone arrived and I sang this song to my Dad and cried the whole time I was singing , to this day when I hear this song I still cry it is such a beautiful song so beautiful it should be sung at everyone's funeral, it so strongly touches your heart, amen 🙏🎉🎉🎉❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Chris Tomlin you have a beautiful voice. 🙋

We played this song at my dad's funeral on March 11th, 2023. He accepted Christ at 89, I was able to lead him to the Lord this past summer. My father was a Korean War Hero, who received a Bronze Star for acts of bravery, courage and valor. All this pails in comparison to the gift of eternal life. I hope other hearts were touched, seeds sown and that eternity will welcome other souls because of the gospel message preached, this song and offering the free gift of salvation at his celebration of life.

My second pregnancy ended up with miscarriage. Then In a year I had a healthy baby boy. The song “amazing grace” reminds me of unconditional and unending love of God and Jesus. It eases my burdens in times of trials. Being grateful to God it makes me happy and grateful that I have my beautiful sons with me on this earth and one more baby waiting for me in heaven. His grace is truly amazing. God is good

I lost my mother almost 9 months now. I miss her so much, and I'm thankful she's home in paradise with the Lord. Jesus gives me strength everyday. I played this song off of a cd in my car while taking my grandmother to her doctor appointment yrs ago. She told me she wanted it played it at her funeral. Ofcourse to me it was just a thought. I'm a funeral director in the UK, a family who I was privileged to serve in their darkest hour requested this track to accompany a beautiful slideshow of their dear father which portrayed his whole life. It was very moving showing his whole life from growing up, getting married and loving his family and friends, I must admit I shed a tear or twenty, I'm eternally grateful to have been part of his family's life even only for a few weeks. I'm going to sing this song at my Papa's service Tomorrow. He died of Pulmonary Fibrosis and he was in the Navy. He died of natural causes but we had such a close bond but his chains are gone of sickness so that is all I could ask for. Thank you for your life Papa. I love you.

Addiction is cued by wounds that you feel with something, whether it be depression, low self esteem or loneliness, what is important is what you choose to alleviate these things, God can you fill your heart with peace that frees you that doesn’t mean you won’t struggle and when you do don’t be down on yourself, but ask God to fill the parts of you that are hurting and causing this, if you just feel bad and try again you will fall but if you don’t let yourself get down and trust in God to heal you you can be free form that world

My father passed away 4th, Jan 2022. And this song is always in my mind since then. Even though his entire life was not devoted to Christ, I believe he was saved when he was ill at hospital when we prayed together for him right next to his bed for his salvation. This song is such a great reminder that we all fall short for glory of God. But God is great savior even in times of suffering we all experience in certain extent. I deeply believe my father’s soul is with the Creator and all the meaningless turmoil on this Earth now made sense to him. Praise the Lord!

My dad just passed away on May 5th 2022...I proclaimed the gospel to him on October 8th 2020 in my kitchen and he put his faith in Christ as savior and Lord that day. His funeral is in a few days and I was contemplating singing a song since I haven't sung in public in many years. Greg Simmons Hold on brother, God is closer to you than you know. Christ is the light that shines into the darkness. Look to Him and trust His words and what He did on the cross regardless of how you feel. The darkness can be deceptive. Praying that you can find other Christ followers who can encourage you in person during this time. Never give up!

I was born-again in my spirit while singing this song at a Wednesday bible study at the pastors place...not caring if I was in tune...out-of-tune...or had no tune! Then I heard a whisper in my right ear...literally...'Stop singing and listen to the words'...and I did...it was the most beautiful exchange that anyone could ever have! The Holy Spirit brought me to Jesus who showed me His never-ending love for me...and this is when I was able to acknowledge my actual separation from Him...and all I could do was weep and accept! This would be the start of a journey that is still continuing to this day...I was 17 at the time...and I am now 53...as He has told me...'I said I would never leave nor fore sake you...I didn't say that you would never leave me nor fore sake me'...and He hasn't and in this...and only because of this...AMAZING GRACE!

I was diagnosed with a severe brain cancer when I was 7 years old and the doctors and surgeon's said that it was too late to save me because even if they did the operation, the cancer would grow back But after 1 month of what looked like the end for end me, God gave me a second chance in life. He also gave me a vision and spoke to me saying " Don't you worry anymore, for your disease is gone".

This song was played at my mamaws funeral by someone else but i could hear Chris Tomlin singing it in my heart. She had cancer and was taken to Heaven less than 2 months since we realized she had cancer. I still miss her to this day and i miss everyone else who was in my family and died.
