I’m sorry to hear that. I’ll be praying for you and him. Keep your faith in Jesus that he can turn it around. My dad was a bad alcoholic and we thought he was beyond repair but God is merciful and he has been almost 2 years sober now and better than he’s ever been. He’s also saved me from a VERY sinful lifestyle I used to live. Gods not done yet, remember that!

God is able to deliver him from that addiction! I drank at least 2 half gallons of Liquor and a case of beer every week. I would get up in the middle of the night having withdrawals and get a shot so I could go back to sleep. I would have a shot or two rvery morning while I was making my coffee. God delivered me and I didn't have any withdrawals, none! I have been alcohol and drug free for 5 months and have no desire to go back to it. Praise be to GOD!

I just lost my mom and she was my rock. She was why I kept going. I am suffering. I just started going to church and the lord has changed my life. I am a new person and I just pray that the person reading this will or has accepted christ in his or her life. He really can change you. I pray this pain and suffering upon no one. This song is helping me get through so much. I love my mom so much, and i love you lord. To the person reading this, its never to late to accept christ and he has died FOR YOU. I was homeless, and I lost all hope I had no one and nothing to turn to for help. I felt like I was losing myself, and I just wanted the pain to end, but then I saw him, and he spoke to me, and he said be still my son put thou faith in me your lord God and I shall save thee. It was actually written solely by Jennie Lee Riddle. Kari is the one that first recorded the song and made it a hit when she was still at Gateway Church; on the album 'Living For You'. I love Chris Tomlin too, but many of his songs are actually the cover version.

hello Chris, just a note brother...when a person is born again the Holy Spirit enters us and inhabits us...it is permanent and does not happen like you say. If you are his the Spirit is in you already and when you worship the Spirit is with you and glorifies the Lord Jesus. That is why you feel such emotion...not becuz the Spirit is entering you..he already has...the Spirit is simply rising up WITHIN you. Blessings to you and his Church

My best friend of 45 years died unexpectedly in July and I was crushed. This song was the first thing at her funeral. I just sat with my eyes closed, tears streaming like never before, and I understood her commitment to Jesus and knew she was safe at his feet. I miss her every day but this song brings me peace and an undying connection.

Heard this song played today at a grave side service of a young man that had passed into glory. All I could do was close my eyes, bow my head, and hang on. Here He came. The Holy Spirit blew through the crowd standing around the grave site. I could feel Him touch my heart. What an awesome God who loves us as much now as He ever can.

Of course, we can only be holy IN Christ, because HE is our holiness. HE sanctifies us as we walk in Him. It's just beautiful. We don't have to earn it or bare knuckle it all our days. We can literally do NOTHING without Him. If everyone could learn this NOT the hard way...... don't we ALL do that tho.. :( Love this music - Chris Tomlin too!
