My oldest is 19 and when I gave birth his father was in jail . When I was in the hospital I put his name on it but they didn’t add it when sending me the original copy. I had to mail him some paperwork while he was in jail and he just had to have someone sign as a witness and they added him on. He wasn’t even home to be there so maybe she’s able to do something like that🤷🏾♀️

I had to take a day off and go to the DMV and social security office to file my name change. Some women don’t ever change their names. She must submit a petition to the court in order to achieve this, along with a convincing justification for the name change.
