Chrissie Hynde and Shane MacGowan are two shining lights whose music respectively and collectively have brought so much joy and pleasure to our little world. I love them both tremendously!

Mr. McGowan is a great prophet. And he will be so even if he will be rolled out in the form of a motionless and soundless mummy. A fortiori, his brilliant voice remains the same.
He loves it. It's Shane McGowan isn't it. They will never stop him. He is a proper artist, unlike the fan boys of today who won't perform if their foundation doesn't look good. Shane is a proper old skool bad mo fo. Thats why we all love him.
My God, this ghastly show equates to running up to Sonny Bono and demanding he sing "A Rainy Night In Soho" seconds after he hit the tree! With the passing of time and increased exposure to the genius of his music, MacGowan is being recognized as one of the truly great songwriters/performers in the history of popular music. So let time pass and leave the artist be. He's run his race. Leave him to his peace and dignity of self that he earned in spades a long, long time ago.
