Very nice I used to play this piece too. One thing I want to ask is I see you frequently feel for the reference pedal but I don't see other organist do that. Is that something that was taught to you or you just prefer doing it? I would think in fast tempo pieces there would not be enough time to "feel around" down there. I've heard the 2nd part of this piece played at about double the tempo played here but because of the meaning of the piece I like your tempo and the "muddy" bass. If this piece if played at a much faster tempo, I highly recommend brightening the pedal stops for more clarity because the bass part is nice to hear clearly in this piece when played fast.
Think about what the piece is about. In Death's Strong grasp the savior lay. Actually a good interpretation and tempo to emphasize the sorrow associated with death. "Bright" stops would contradict the true meaning of the piece.
