A ceremonial bottle of champagne is broken over the front pilot of Florida East Coast Railway Alco 4-6-2 steam locomotive number 148, commemorating her return to active revenue service with US Sugar after a multi-year restoration. 148 will now haul trains of sugar cane to the plant from the fields, and return trips with empty hoppers. The engine looks gorgeous! Much props to US Sugar for restoring the 148 and allowing us to join in welcoming her back.
