@@aussiemenace6897 No lol. Christian Bale does have anger issues. That's a bad thing about him. Im not saying that you shouldn't respect him. He might be a good guy. But he has history of fights and argument even if you don't consider this clip
He filmed it over 10 YEARS AGO, DUH! But yes totally agreed, absolutely loved Gordon's quite clearly Oscar SNUBBED Iconic Legendary "Ramsey Performance"! #ToBadItGotCutFromTheFinishedProduct
In Christian's defense: He's upset because he realized he's in Terminator Salvation. In Shane's defense: Man, who cares, it's just Terminator Salvation.
Plot twist: word is Christian Bale fucked the whole movie up because he believed his character should have more scenes so they changed the script accordingly
@@slyace1301 If true, Bale either did that badly (John Conner feels like he's barely in the film), or he tried to push the movie closer to what was promised to the fans. I know wanted Bale as Conner when I heard the movie announced, not "Guy from Avatar as some new character".
Hes actually been described as a down to earth guy,in the description it says that It was supposed to be a really deep emotional scene for him and he already warned the dp loads of times but he kept messing with the lights
It’s funny but this type of abuse is probably common in Hollywood. EDIT: According to the video description and other commenters, Bale was probably more justified in this rant than I initially thought. I still think he could’ve had a much more mature and reasonable response however, I don’t care if he’s “emotional” that’s not a justification for anything. But I do see where his frustration comes from.
Ever seen the Lily Tomlin rant from the set of "I Heart Huckabee's"? Dustin Hoffman trying to calm her down. And that was a mediocre film. I will say David O Russell can make great films but maybe isn't fun to work with🤷🏼♂️
In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself
Oh yeah, remember bale is an actor....Ramsey boxed and played football also from what I have read he still boxes to stay in shape. He would eat Bat man alive .
Christen Wolf Oh yeah, remember that it was a joke. Jesus Christ dude, I really couldn't give a shit about who'd win in a fight. There's a billion better matchups than them two.
@@J78Kio are you actually defending this behavior? They are all professionals trying their best. Yelling at someone, saying they should get fired is insane. The dude made a mistake, everyone does that sometimes. Bale is just so fucking full of himself that he thinks his fame validates all his behavior
@@majesthijmenii1976 He did it a second time and is trying to explain/ defend his behavior as it sounds like. An actor like Bale who seems to put everything in acting will be pissed ofc. Just think about yourself how you react if something that is absolutly important for you gets fucked up by someone. Maybe that will help to understand it because this scene and everything does not mean shit for us therefore Bales behavior seems way over the top. Calling for his job was an overreaction but was it rly that much? I've seen and heard alot harsher things that people yall for way less. I mean Bale even bothered calling him a nice guy and only criticing his professional behavior. But talking back or trying to explain shit when you did a mistake never helps. Shut up, accept the critic and talk about it later if you think you did not make a mistake.
Everyone in Hollywood probably knows who leaked it, cause it says what he does at the beginning and all you have to do is to look up and find who does that job in Terminator salvation.
Umm, not at all? He is putting a guy in his place because the guy is fucking up again? Did you read the description? The guy responsible for the lights was fucking around during a very hard to do scene, a serious part of the film. The guy is even meh after getting yelled at, he doesn't care enough, that's why christian is yelling at him.
@@anapaulasantos651 is it abuse when you keep ruining someones work? Because that's what the guy operating the lights was doing. Maybe just grow a pair. When you do something wrong at work, you might get lectured, you might get fired, but this here isn't really abuse. It's an angry guy yelling.
Laughing Jack Christian was born in Pembrokeshire, Wales, to ENGLISH parents. He's definitely not Australian, and certainly doesn't sound like it, so I'm not sure what makes you think he is. His parents traveled a lot due to their professions, so he was raised in a few countries, including the UK, the US, and Portugal... but considers himself ENGLISH.
Probably for the best. When self-important actors think they shit gold and deserve to be treated like royalty, this is what happens. He SHOULD be ridiculed for the rest of his days for this fucking crybaby tantrum. Most actors probably wouldn’t have carried on for that long screaming at someone for a dumb mistake. Dude is a grade a cunt.
The Littlest Giant no you’re wrong, I would flip out if someone tweaked the light while rolling. A professional waits until cut not while rolling. I understand where Bale is coming from. Listen to the whole transcript know that no one does tweaking while red. It ruins a scene and creates a huge mistake
Four solid minutes of screaming at someone and threatening violence against them is a reasonable reaction to someone making a stupid mistake? You’re fucking nuts, dude. Stop worshipping celebrities, that’s part of the problem, it contributes to them becoming monsters, lol.
@@benparker384 oh what you meant the phrase itself? Yeah Bale didn't invent that. But the "ooooo good for you" audio has been used a lot on the internet, although I can't tell you exactly where I've heard it before
James Salinas yeah I get what you’re saying but I mean Christian bale is known for how intense he takes roles on. It wouldn’t be hard to read what’s bothering him or not lmao
I'm picturing him saying this to Alfred as Bruce Wayne and all he can say is "im sorry master Bruce I was just looking at the light" "ohhhhh good for you" hahahaha
I'd be understanding to a point but after like a minute of him telling and me realizing that he's still going on then I'd realise he's just taking his day out on me and id probably start yelling back and being an asshole to him too lol
Director of Photography (DP) is quite replaceable compared to a lead actor. He’s probably going to lose his job if Bale left. You also do NOT distract the actors on set, especially if he had been warned before.
rapidfirematt "I was born in Wales but I'm not Welsh - I'm English". That's literally a quote from him. He was born in Pembrokeshire but he grew up in England and his mother is English.
David Thorn you’re clearly like the idiot he’s yelling at. It’s pretty simple, he’s trying to fucking act and be in character for this shitty ass movie and the DP is distracting him During a scene, a DP. And this is the second time he did it.
Ocho exactly his point. If the actors mess up, it's bloopers. But if its a crew member then all hell break loose. Jesus, I know what the DP did was very amateur (because he is!) But Christian shouldn't be an asshole and fucking scream and cuss at the DP for 4 fucking minutes. The initial outburst was understandable, I'd be pissed too. But he shouldn't have let it go on for too long.
Obvious idiot is obvious. Yeah bloopers happen all the time. But Bale is someone who is completely serious about things like these. This isn't even the first time it happened.
Honestly, if he had a good scene going and he was nailing it then he has a right to be that pissed. You don't nail it every time, there are some scenes that you just cant replicate as good as that one time.
He just had a scene ruined, probably not the first time, cos the guy wanted to "look at the light", it's stressful to be on set and it literally costs money whenever scenes are ruined, time is money in this industry and Christian is aware of this, that ruined scene would've cost around $10,000 to $100,000, maybe more depending on the length of the scene and type of camera, not unhinged and completely in the right
E P not only was it the first time that the guy ruined the scene, but he kept walking into frame after they clearly said camera rolling, sound speed, marker, and action!
@@randomguy6679 So the entire fuck what? You talk to him like a man. You pull him aside and address it or you tell him you have to let him go. No excuse for it.
What are you going to do? Walk away and lose your job? That's not really viable. I worked on movie sets and they are usually very intense (many people are on a small place for sometimes 14-16 hours while you have to rush everything) and these kind of things are not rare. I saw a director make his assistant cry once. This is the movie business. If your pride don't let you take blows like this then it's not for you.
@@HomoErectusIsAFunnyName No, could have said "I hear your criticism and I won't do it again if you have that much of a problem with it but let me remind you this is not just your scene. This is OUR scene, the crew's scene too so can you quit your temper tantrum and move on?" If Bale decided to then go to the producer and complain to get Shane fired then he's a fucking puss. I mean he already sounds like a bitch from hearing this.
Krisztián Dobos ph right because the movie industry is tough and hard right. Fucking easiest jobs in the word, told exactly what to say and how to say and when to say it. They fucking talk for a job.
@@fashiharz8584 Angry and telling a guy to cut it out is one thing. Continuing to rant on a guy who already understood what he did wrong is just being a prick. It's basically Power Harassment considering Christian probably had the power to easily getting that guy fired.
fashiha rz He had a right to be angry but not to blow up, yell and swear at a dude for 4 minutes straight while the guy repeatedly apologises. He called him names and threatened to have him fired. Unprofessional, childish and disgusting.
@@ep6808 why not u be an actor? See how u would do it bud. The scene he was trying to create was emotional. Unprofessional? Perhaps but he has all the right to call him out on it. Playing with the lights is bloody unprofessional if u ask me. Should've locked it when the scene began.
I remember they asked his costars about it in interviews and they said Christian Bale is usually very professional: he doesn’t normally act anything like this.
In his defence, he's probably the only person there that actually cared about making a half-decent movie. Everybody else just accepted it was Terminator Salvation XD
