I also like other gothic band like Cadra Ash or Mephisto Walz, etc... sure u know already. I will try your tips this coming weekend with my guitars and carefully re-read your video, especially the part with "octave G shape chord" (sorry if I misunderstood, im French like I said 😂, despites I speak English n German, I can have some misunderstanding). People do not give Rikk the credit he deserves ...he´s the equivalent to his contemporaries ,namely John McGeoch , Keith Levene, Colin Newman and a couple others in the UK.

Nice job! I'm also hearing and even higher octave on the recording during that one part. Was it an overdub? or maybe my ears playing tricks on my brains.
Thank you very much Ted! And it might be layered, I’m not sure. I’m sure Rikk Agnew layered some guitars as he said he loved doing octave overdubs for the Kids Of The Black Hole’s open string parts in an interview
lmfao. a child could play this in his infant sleep. All you have to do is listen by ear instead of wasting time with an actual "tutorial". wow. I've even done my own progressive version of this beautiful composition just for shits and giggles. lol. But what really surprises me is that there is someone out there who even knows who the Great Christian Death is.
