Full video of the Christian Dior Fall-Winter 2004-2005 ready-to-wear show. edited and featuring the original soundtrack. The file is from 2004, so excuse the quality.
hana was feeling herself in her white midi dress! love the mix of inspos (i mean poiret and teddyboys imagine!!!) and execution as only john and team can do!
Strip down the theatrics, cute dior dice bags, a nice pair of shiny trousers, a nice feminine chiffon shirt, several individual wearable dresses like 6:20. Look at the advertisements for Galliano's Dior and you'll see key seasonal pieces in a wearable context.
There was a lot of wearble piecess here, and the theatric but also cool and edgy vibe really push Dior's popularity, which help sell those bags, shoes, and furthermore, perfume and jewelry
It sold exceptionally well. There were always the outrageous catwalk pieces plus more commercial pieces that were available in boutiques, department stores and eLuxury.com. At the end of the day it's a business and the runway shows were more about selling a mood, look, idea, a fantasy. In store were the real-world pieces that customers actually bought. Some of this from the show actually was produced for sale in its undiluted version or available to order at that time as well.
@@MagFan42 yeah I don’t know why she did it as it physically didn’t work with the garment&shoes…maybe bc she knew it’s famous and figured she could try to make the garment move ?
It's almost like Galliano gave up designing this season, and got some BA fashion intern to take over the designs instead... what a waste of the talented seamstress' skill at Dior.
