you know what makes me nervous? 2017 is the year dior celebrates 70 years in fashion and this show was almost 10 years ago and it was a 60th anniversary show. so, this july they are making a 70th anniversary show and i'm really, really worried and nervous about what maria grazia can bring to the table... i'm already ready for it to be a total disaster...
christianzh I'm not just nervous, I'm sad. I've been waiting for this collection for 10 years, and I know I'm going to be so utterly disappointed. Maria if just terrible. Raf may have been able to pull out something great but not her. 😢😢😢
I dont get people. they pay to see the dresses on display but Loathe the idea of have this caliber of design, soundtrack, walks and show ... I dont get it
Helena Christensen is my favorite supermodel she's so rare and so beautiful at the same time. When she was young, she was the most beautiful woman in the planet for sure!
At its highest level fashion is no longer practical but exists like all great art beauty for beauty's sake....these dresses are no less than great paintings or arias.
sorry but she can not carry this in no way shape or form....These are real haute couture models they are trained and experienced in posing in these gowns...Kendall nor Gia could carry this.
i dont think its the best, last season couture was better, this was nice, i thought it was going to be more spectacular, gisele acts great out there, her poses, very elegant, her suit and elena christenson black dress are the only pieces that i would wear, theyre very mystyle, lady like. Maria carla was fabulous, love the way she sits, i wish the video could have focus more on her though, i also love olga sherer, shes very thin and beautiful
shes the one that wore the white sheath dress knee lenght, off the shoulder, black elbow gloves, with the big red rose swirl detail on the front right or left of the dress
the most emotional and intense Dior show Ive ever see. its mesmerizing. the mood and the music and the clothes and the background go so well with each other. The music gave the show so much depth. simply exquisite. John Galliano is an unequivocal genius.
The preparation, staging, and set designs of such fashion shows as this Dior exemplify the high art and drama to match the high fashion of Milan and Paris, not so often displayed in NYC. Wonder why? Maybe things have changed now. Thanks "sethivarova!"
The first part of the video i'm not sure about, but at 4:07 it transitions into "Number One Song In Heaven" which was originally done by the band Sparks, maybe there was a remix that had extra in the beginning.. or it was specially made.. not sure if people noticed but there was a choir/orchestra there with singers.. maybe it was someone from that??
When Helena poses at the last station, and we see Mariacarla going to her final destination, we feel the urge to see everything she has shown during that show! Isn't it?
The first song is called The Number One Song In Heaven, originally by Sparks, although this version is 1000000000000 times better. Search for the original vid on here....those guys are creepy.
@BlueGray09 this happens alot in galliano's shows, you should see some of the makeup for spring 2003, i think its that show, very draggish. still awesome.
I continue the last with the following ten ones: unknown girl with pale blue tea-cup-looking dress, Melody Woodin, Ana Mihajlovic, Amber Valletta, Romina Lanaro, unknown girl in purple with big black eye shadows, Vlada Roslyakova, unknown girl with brownish-orange sir Joshua Reynolds gown and unknown girl in brow Marie Antoinette look who may be Sasha Pivavorova.
Dior is great, i love what they do with the drapping, its some way they fold the fabric and give it a.... I can't say, LOVE dior Love galliano's interpretation**sorry of how the house should move. Everything is just on key for dior right now. Wish i could say the same for Co-Worker MarcJacobs who has no clue of what the hell hes doing with His Line. O and the Pink Dyed Dress at 4:51 is to dye for. LOVELOVE LOVe...could people actually purchase these peices?
In case you were wondering what the beginning song is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gMy_Hvk7cGI.html Not the cool remix Galliano had done, but so much more amazingly haunting. You're welcome.
How can a dress have so much fabric without looking completely stupid? The answer is that it was designed by John Galliano following classic Christian Dior techniques!
@Bruce99100 and it's a beautiful work that makes you dream with its flawless you have to recognize that everything related to this haute couture world is simply superficial and vanidous. Plus, it enhances sexism.
@Bruce99100 A goddess is a woman who is intellectually free and independent. An exemplar woman who's not living just for a cute surface showing everyone that women are called to change this world through education and struggle for good causes... A woman who has healthy habits for foods and lifestyle... A woman who fights for making this world less sexist... For god's sake, how can you say that a woman becomes a divinity just by wearing haute couture!? Even though I recognize this is art
