The good days when the audience applauded the show. Today the audience sits in silence whilst holding their phones for a photo/video. I miss the applause.
It's always a real delight to come here and watch this masterpiece again. One of the best and most spectacular Haute couture shows that I've ever seen !! Everything looks expensive, rich, opulent, polished and incredibly beautiful. The girls look like dolls, they are Flawless from their hair and stunning makeup done by the Legendary and amazing Pat mcgrath to their nails, everything is beyond beautiful ! That's what I love about John, besides his huge talent and incredible sens of beauty and style, he is a visionary and a perfectionist. One of the best Couturiers that the house has ever had hands down !!
Back when Dior was about the clothes, the modes and above all the SHOW. Not making money for mass fashion. Back when people watched it online with their mouths open in the sheer beauty, technique and talent that went into the garments. Galliano for ever

The irony of this comment is that 3 years ago when it was posted and in 2008 when this show came out there were still people saying the same thing. so it makes one wonder when did catwalk models walk "like this"?

dear MGC, THIS is how you do a haute couture show with your sheer dress and bar silhouette aesthetic at Dior. Not that same look repeated on every single season with the only difference are their colors and embroideries you're currently doing.

one of my favorites fashion shows...the clothes are sublime......the walk of the models and the sensuality in the garments is seducing. The closing gown is like opening a box of jewels.....
Beautiful, exciting and classic in its own way... way different from what's been done these days in Dior....

I'm not familiar with fashion but I'm pretty sure this is the classical, vintage Dior silhouette interpreted in so many different ways. Airy, chic, extra & borderline wearable. That's haute couture.
Hey days of fashion and glamour! The music was uplifting and inspiring, the applause and the finale gave me goosebumps, the CLOTHES! Sublime clothes, shoes, and JG dramatic closing...as he walked 2 bodyguards followed...if that is not drama I don’t know what is!!
