If Christ ultimate goal is to bring back together the tabernacle of David why would he come back to teach the law of Moses in the New Testament if they never was able to keep it perfectly in the old testament and it resulted in Northern kingdom and Southern kingdom to split. Christ came with a New Testament that allowed northern kingdom to come back into the fold. The law of Moses had its time period and the law of Christ is in effect now.

Works is not going to get you into Heaven. God wants us to recognize that it's the belief in His Son that did all the work that's going to get you into Heaven. Jesus never wanted us a performance based Gospel. Jesus always wanted us to have a relationship, sure. But there are people like the Thief on the Cross, for example, who did not do any works. He was a thief, symbolic of a child of Satan because Satan is a thief that comes to kill, steal and destroy. So he was representative of a man who only followed his flesh all the days of his life. When he was on the Cross and he actually met Jesus, he was able to accept that Jesus was there on the Cross, innocent, dying not for His own sins because Jesus didn't have sin but died for the Thief on the Cross and all of his sins. Jesus looks over to him and says, "Verily I say unto you, today you will be with me in Paradise. it's not about working out your salvation with fear.and trembling. It's not about even baptism.
