They should have gave that man the ball more. He had over 150 scrimmage yards. The 49ers were 0-3 in there first three possessions of the second half. During that time they didn’t run the ball. All passes
He had 30 touches dude. The man was fatigued hard, you can’t just put the team on his back like that and expect production. He got the ball when it was needed late in the game and made plays.
@@boatywhale I thought they would learn from the Ravens mistake where they abandoned the run game. Purdy might become great but he's not that guy just yet so why put it in his hands...
@@Elliottklassen when you're a run first team with the best rusher yes it does! Three straight drives with a 3 an out having only one run in the those nine plays is just plain STUPID from Kyle, anyone who thinks differently is just as stupid.
Should’ve used him a LOT more in thr 3rd quarter. But in typical Shanahan fashion, he decided to abandon the run game which was working and go heavy on pass. Can’t even get upset about it anymore as a Niner fan as it seems to happen religiously in big games. That said, still a great season and absolutely happy to have CMC as a Niner. Maybe next year faithful
He didn’t abandon the run game though. They just stalled out on enough first down runs that they had to switch things up. In the end, CMC only averaged 3.6 yards per carry this game on a fairly large 22 carries. The 49ers didn’t lose this game for lack of giving CMC the ball.
1 run and 8 pass plays on their first 3 drives in the 3rd quarter. All 3 drives, 3 and out. Even if you only get a yard or two, you at least run it. He abandoned the run. And only when they went back to it were they able to sustain any of their second half drives
@@justine8163am I the only one who saw McCaffrey huffing and puffing on the sidelines you can't use somebody up just because somebody else has got a bet on the game
Has nothing to do with Shanahan, it's Purdy if anything. He's an overrated average at bus driver quarterback but he wanted all of the fame and Glory of beating the great Patrick Mahomes and came up short... he shouldn't have though because his team is ridiculously better than Mahomes' team is. He also nearly seriously hurt McCaffrey at the 38 second mark leading him to a go nowhere play in double coverage.
Kyle shannahan deciding to put the game in purdys hands instead of mccaffrey is insanity. Not even a shot at purdy because he played fine but he’s not the game breaker mccaffrey is
I can’t blame him. Every one all season has talked at length about how elite purdy is and how many records he’s breaking. When you have that level at your disposal you put the game in their hand’s 😏
@@jacobaustin4812 Purdy is over rated, CMC is the clear best player an in the stretch of three 3 an outs in a row coach ran it once..... Kyles an idiot an panicked AGAIN!
I could not believe it when San Fran abandoned the run in the 3rd quarter Even if he gets 3 yards here you have the potential to break one and you are wearing down the defense and having 3rd and shorts instead of 3rd and long
Aside from the Special Teams and Offense. How many times in the 4th Quarter and OT did the Defense had a chance to stop the Chiefs? That Zone Shell Coverage does not work with a QB like Mahomes that will slowly move the chains when he need a FG to secure the game from moving on (tie), but as they march down the field, the chances of getting a TD gets higher. Tough loss, but gotta get better in defense next season.
How do you think nick bosa played.he seemed to get two quarterback hits and 6tackles but it wasnt enough in these big games.chase young had a sack but bosa couldnt really get the big play though he did okay i would say.
They seemed to be able to just drive upfield when they wanted.thats frustrating on players like greenlaw and others that seemed to bring it all.then when any hole opened up mahomes just ran for it.back in the day i dont know if he would willingly run like that becauss of the hits n understsndably the nfl protdcting players.trent green n bosa gave it all.i feel for those guys.
@@manuelalmendarez2232 49ers defensive linemen can't get to QB as much, as seen last year and this year Bosa seems to be just barely missing, it's because the QB needs to release the ball quickly. With Zone defense, it was in 9ers favor Chefs not having Tyreek Hill, all a QB would do is throw to a vacant area of the zone, the WR would get to it as practiced. Among being a QB talents to to have vision and anticipation...Defensive Coordinator failed, 49ers players tries to make up for his flawed scheme
I know I'm about to get hate for this comment but seeing that one 49ers player got injured on the sidelines . It was only funny because how it happened he got way over excited and injury himself but it was messed up at the same time I'm sorry I had to laugh about it
CMC and Jennings carried the offense of this game. Brock Purdy did fine, but he didn't make the big plays. This game showed his biggest weakness, he's not a gamechanger type of quarterback. All of that can change though, he's just getting started.
The game was NOT rigged! I saw the ending of the game, the 49s just wasn’t fast enough to catch the ball before the Chiefs made the touchdown. Their defense was weak.
Imagine getting to the superbowl or championship every year and still having the same amount of Superbowl wins as the Dallas Cowboys who haven’t sniffed a Championship in 28 years 😂
Niners last bowl win was the year after the cowboys last win -_- so they really don't have much room to talk, but we all know crying is what the whiners do best.
Is #64 an illegal man downfield he is more than “5 yards “…. Is that even legal for a ball 🏈 thrown behind the line …? Maybe he is tackle eligible or something…?
Lamar might be MVP, but McCaffrey actually got to play in the Super Bowl. If the 49ers had won, he would've gotten the SB MVP at the least, much sweeter than Lamar's paper trophy
