Rubbish I realized long ago that the reality of a 'God' was impossible, so I left my religion. The frailty of the human mind makes us want to believe that there is someone up there looking after us, and fear of death makes us want to believe that we will never die. Christianity is just as different from Judaism as we all know Jews don't share your belief that God is a trinity nor that the Messiah would be god becoming a man not to mention neither Jesus not any other prophet of God ever mentioned your concept of God nor that God will one day become a man and die for mankind's sins

Respectfully, they are similar. Both believe that Jesus, peace be upon him, is the Messiah. Both believe that Jesus was born to a virgin. Not to mention the same stories of Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc., peace be upon them all. The biggest difference is, Islam believes that Jesus was a messenger and not the son of God. It goes against our beliefs, Muslim beliefs, to believe that someone else has to pay the price for our sins. I'd like to shed some light on the authenticity and other matters regarding this subject. The whole Bible has been written by around 40 Authors. We do not have hundreds of thousands of prophets that we follow, because (firstly the Jews then the Christians) made sure of the Scriptures' authenticity. For the Old Testament, if the teaching's were not in line with the teaching of the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible used by the Jews, which consist of the Torah, the prophetic books and Writings), then it is not included in the Old Testament, because our faith stems from Judaism. New Testament - There is a lot of evidence regarding the New Testament books. But I'll stick to the Pauline letters: - Paul was an oppressor of the Christian faith, but was converted after His encounter with Jesus. - His letters were written between 50-60AD. - In these letters he proclaims that Jesus is Christ and Son of God. - There exists internal as well as external evidence regarding the authorship of his writings as well as a consistency in the style of the letters and the Theology they teach. This being said, Paul in a vision met Jesus after His ascension, so he did not meet Jesus in His earthly ministry, BUT, he met one of Jesus' disciples Peter as well as the brother of Jesus, James. (This can be seen in the Pauline letters, look at Galatians) We can also see that these letters and their teachings are corroborated throughout the New Testament by the other books, e.g. Acts The Gospels that were written can be proved with a combination of the following: - Internal evidence (first-hand accounts in the text) along with - External Testimony (By the Early church fathers such as Papias, Irenaeus, Clement of Alexandria, Origen, etc. Papias for e.g. lived around 60-130 AD) - Literary Analysis (Assessing the time in which is was wrote, i.e. what happened in that same era) - Consistency with Eyewitness Testimonies ( The Gospels are compared with other non-canonical Christian writings, archaeological evidence, as well as Jewish and Greco-Roman sources to evaluate the historical accuracy Regarding the subject of Revelation. We are given a revelation by the apostle John from Jesus. This is documented around 90AD Now as to the authority on which they wrote: In the past (before Jesus) We had prophets who acted like the intercessor between God and His people. When Jesus went up, we are told that God the Father will send another like Him(Jesus), the Holy Spirit. In the letters and in the Gospels we can see the function of the Holy Spirit and it is the same Spirit with the same power that rose Jesus out of the grave. This Spirit is given unto the true believers. The apostles writings and teachings from Jesus, is God-inspired through the Holy Spirit. That is why you will not be able to find a single contradiction in the Holy Bible. Now on a more criticial thinking side I ask you this: 1.) If you remove the Son of God(King) from Jesus, He is Messiah and Prophet (He is anointed in the Holy Bible as High-Priest(Messiah), Prophet and King). If He according to the revelation from Muhammed is not the one people will go to for mercy, you remove from Him Messiah. Then He is Prophet, what then is He a prophet of? What is it that He came to prophecy of? We read of the baptist John who was the messenger for Christ, the one who's sandals he is not worthy to kiss, because John was but a man and Christ the full embodiment of God. I have not heard of a prophet speaking highly of another prophet in such a way of worship, why would Jesus if He was anointed by God do that then? It is incoherent when viewed against the rest of the prophets. 2.) Why would so many people risk their lives and even give their lives for a false truth? People were crucified, stoned, thrown into pits with lions all because of the faith they proclaimed. You'd either have to be telling the truth, or you would have to be really crazy. That is all I have to say for this matter, I wish we could sit and talk all of this through, for there is so much, so many prophecies, so many types and shadows, so much more, but I will ask of you, please brother: make it your life's mission to research and to go deeper and deeper; if God truly is your all, your first and true love, you will not take this life lightly, for after comes eternity. Be as critical with the Quran as you are with the Bible; it would be a tremendous joy for me for you to find the complete truth as can be revealed only by God. Much love and peace.

@@solascriptura1536 The Qur'an is revelation. Muhammad(saw) is the prophet and messenger of God, and the recipient of said revelation. The Qur'an was memorized en masse. There are mutawatir reports that inform us of companions reading the whole Qur'an in private during the month of Ramadan, as they'd been taught to do. They'd also recite the whole Qur'an in the mosque, during Ramadan. The writing of a standardized book-form happened under the supervision and with the backing of the Sahaba. They also started producing dictionaries, to preserve the language, and they developed the science of Isnad. Now, none of that pertains to how the Bible was compiled. The Bible of today is a reconstruction based on the oldest known manuscripts that they happen to have in their possession. The Bible and the Qur'an reach us now in two very different ways. You can't really compare those two ways, and they need to be analyzed separately.
