Yes you are right to say only Allah knows who is to go to paradise or hell.... That's why Dr Zakir Naik didn't say any thing out of his personal understanding... Dr Zakir Najk mentioned only what Allah has to say about entering paradise or hell out of two religions holy scriptures, which are considered as word of God by the followers of both religions. That was God's saying Dr Zakir naik mentioned, again, that wasn't not Dr Zakir Naik's personal understanding of who is to enter paradise or to hell.
The good non muslim will not go to paradise but the scholars said their good deed will be rewarded in the world not in the hereafter sis. So u will see muslim be poor and non muslim rich and we as muslims never jealous of it coz we knew our reward is in the hereafter not in this world.
"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers." [Aal ‘Imraan 3:85]

the Quran has been clear and unambiguous on the subject as well as the prophet Mohammed peace be upon him, the obligatory condition for entry into paradise is submission to the only god (Islam) There are exceptions such as the person who does not have reason, the madman, the child who has not reached puberty, the person who has not received the revelation who will be tested on the day of judgment by Allah
god says i can forgive all your sins except one who not associate anyone with me. You have done all good deeds throughout your life and committed no sin but you associate someone with Allah then all your good deeds will be in vain. atheist is far better than who associate someone with Allah.
