Thank you so much for posting this interesting discussion. Whilst I don't agree 100% with Thielemann on all his ideas on productions, he is without doubt a wonderful conductor. His recent Walkure in Dresden was superb and a lot quicker than I expected. It's a shame we don't see him conducting big orchestras in the UK!
