Christian university professor has no regrets after inviting gay alum to speak in class, being fired 

as a student at OCU, I can see that this Christian University is pure. (full of God's grace) having a outsider entering the campus just to share to the students his opinion and experiences was not wise at all. I'm glad that the faculty and the office decided to fire him. but... at the same time, i feel like this professor did nothing wrong other than to let a outsider inside. message to the fired professor: may God bless you, and to give you another opportunity to teach open minded students. Amen

Parents don't send their children to Oklahoma Christian to hear from homosexuals. Not appropriate in a classroom setting. This type of discussion needs to be held behind closed doors with a qualified Christian counselor. Very poor judgment.

I'm sorry to hear this. I was a student at the university when professor O'Keefe started at OC. I know nothing about the situation, but it somehow saddens me. I found myself challenged at the university with discussions on controversial topics by great professors while I was there, but usually discussed in private.

Hopefully the professor learns from the experience. Grooming kids into deviance has become the norm in Universities lately instead of imparting learning and skills. Good riddance.

These are college students? If this is an issue, the students are not prepared in any way for real life and the people who fired the professor are not qualified to be at any institution of higher learning.
