This is a sort of honor to the Andrew Sisters who were 3 women who sand the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. That was made during WW2. Watch that video to see what I am talking about. I Love Lucy came out at least a decade and a half after that one did
The entirety of her Back to Basics album (this was from the B-side) was absolute perfection. Peak Christina. Back in the Day. Ain't No Other Man. Makes Me Wanna Pray. Slow Down Baby. On Our Way. Still Dirrty. ALL BOPS
@@robangel0816 see I think Save Me From Myself is her best. It’s super underrated because it doesn’t sound all that difficult but to sing that quietly and softly at that high pitch is extremely difficult because you generally need a lot of air to be moving to more easily hit those notes, but you can’t do that for that particular song. The difficulty of that song is just insane
Christina was hitting that E5 from a very young age & at 16 showcased the serious range she has in the song “reflections” from the movie Mulan. She is one of the best female vocalists EVER! In the beginning of her pop career they tried to keep her in that pretty little pop princess box with the likes of Britney, JessicaSimpson & Mandy Moore (who can also really sing) etc & Christina eventually said NOPE, not gonna be your cookie cutter Barbie doll anymore, & started belting it out & separated herself from the pack in a big way. Her in the movie Burlesque is perfection. She sings amazingly in that movie.
The first verse with the "3 Christinas" was her homage to the Andrew Sisters who had a huge hit during WWII called "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." The second verse was her homage to "Rosie The Riveter" that was used to recruit women to help out in the factories during WWII. This is from "Back To Basics" and was her tribute to music that was famous in the 1930s/1940s ... you should check out "Ain't No Other Man."
"Hope it's not like the movie" Oh, my man, you have no idea .. Honestly, this was a BANGER that nobody seems to remember. It's very bare bones (for her) with none of the electric instruments or backing tracks of most of her other works. It showcases how truly talented she is. There are not a lot of singers that could go that stripped down and still sound so good.
She is definitely a favorite. I listen to her when I want hear some soul, and Brittany when I need a pick up, like on the treadmill or when I’m cleaning the house
It doesn't have an official video but you need to listen to Christina Aguilera "Oh mother" it's such a sad song but her vocals in it are AMAZING. It's my favorite song by far! Another great one of her's is her song Fighter.
I was never a huge fan of hers, but she charmed me with this song and amazing video. She pulled off so many personalities of the ladies she portrayed in rhis video, I could tell she did her homework on this. Plus her homage to The Andrews Sisters and that era of wartime. She even introduced me to Campari, the Italian Spirit that was very popular of that time, and still holds true today. She did a great job!
Just saw a comment from @candicelitrenta8890 that was going to be my comment.. a tribute to the Andrew Sisters that were singing songs during WWII for our troops. I love this.. first time every hearing it.. but we all know Christina can bring it.

You need to watch the movie Burlesque starring Christina Aguilera and Cher. Absolutely fabulous. Her singing and dancing are fabulous. Also, check out. Christina’s music video- Ain’t No Other Man.
Rosie the riveter...is the vibe.. but I have to say.. when I saw Candyman.. I thought it was going to be a take on Sammy Davis Jr's... The Candyman Can.. Lord .. My parents raised me on all kind of music...That I know this stuff is crazy.. I was raised on Elvis, Frankie, Sammy, Deano.. and pretty much everything from the 40's to the 70's... and my Pop-Pop raised me on Country music. I'm Hair Band Era.. I just love it all
One of my favorite songs ever! Thank you for bringing it back on my radar! Talking of talent: have you ever heard Dan Vasc? He's got some serious talent and, even better: he's got the gift!
Hold a note longer than a relationship. Lmao. She has the best voice ever on the industry other than Celine Dion. Her voice is so unique. She was truly blessed.
The video had an overall feel of the USO performances (now it's the AFE.) 7:29 the Jody call/military cadence is a real one popular in the 40s-50s though the exact words are more like "Mama and Papa was layin' in bed ( Mama and Papa was layin' in bed) Mama rolled over to papa she said (Mama rolled over to papa she said) Gimme some (Gimme some) PT (PT) Good for you (Good for you) Good for me (Good for me)" I use running cadences when I work out. Haha.
Sorry but Brittany had nothing compared to Christina!! Rosie the Riveter is who you're thinking of. You should check out her MTV Music Awards performance of " Ain't No Other Man" from 2006. You're blown away by her studio song. Hearing her do the same thing live is next level. She can dance but with her voice she doesn't need to.
