The story behind the video is during her Genie in bottle career Christina Aguilera was being forced to dressed up like Pop artist, sing songs that she really did not like, so she run away and break free from it and she took control of her career during stripped era.
Personally I think that it dates back even before that. From her Mickey Mouse days until stripped (and mabey a little bit in Lotus as well). The two men without masks in the video look a lot like X's and Demi's directors for their Disney days. That's a theory as well😄
Great analysis! *✨Explanation of song and video:✨* Almost everyone thinks this is solely about fighting the oppression from men but after listening to the song and watching the video, Christina is touching on the institutionalized patriarchy but it's mainly advice for young girls trying to enter the music industry hence this video depicting little girls being taken by armed guards and groomed to be Superstars under the control of the elites. *Interesting statistic:* Over 800,000 children go missing every year in the United States alone. Also, it's evident that she's talking about the industry and the elites because she sings "no one told me, you do not owe them your body or your soul". In the song she also sings that "I'm gonna pay for this" which alludes to the fact that the industry doesn't want her to sing about this and will probably punish her for it especially if it wakes some up. Demi sarcastically talks about "showing skin to make him want you" and adds that "you're more than flesh and Bone" this is advice to young girls who feel the need to be provocative to gain affection from men but also a way of calling out the overt sexualization of most celebrities under the motto "sex sells" The astonishing thing in the video is that she is given the mic by the handlers to sing this song to us. They give them (Christina & Demi) the mic and step out of the frame and that's what we see on TV. Hence they are not completely free whilst singing this song to us; sadly it appears that they've been ordered to sing this song. Plus I notice that even when they escape they are surrounded by monarch butterflies which is a sign that they are still controlled. I've seen that Christina is the only one laying on the field at the end which has led some to speculate that Demi represented Britney and she's still under their control. However I believe it is a way of portraying that Christina's escape only truly occured in her mind. They also happen to look a lot like Characters from the movie Sucker Punch which was also a movie about girls being put under MK Ultra by the elites to further their goals...

Stephen D I edit and post it , english is not my first language and I'm trying to do my best but when it's a long video like this when I write many things of course there are many mistakes but I try to correct it to make it understandable . My passion to Christina and my desire to make video are stronger then my mistakes in english so I try to do my best and most of my video are just extract of videos. Plus I have a kind of dyslexia so even in my first language I have some writing problem
