yea, i love her on the voice and i still like a few tracks on bionic, lotus, and her collabs with maroon 5, pitbull, etc. and Say Something is just an amazing song... but, i think now that she's made such good friends with the coaches on the voice and that TV show she's acting in- and all their connections- and now that she's in such a good place with her family and kids, she's gonna cut a killer record and have really good promotion and advertising just trend her Hashtag and share her vids to Twitter, Facebook, etc. #christinaaguilera #therealthing

DDICR I agree BUT it is also partly her and her management team's fault too, not just the fans and the critics. There was little promo and she seemed to give up on promoting both albums very quickly. Even Burlesque wasn't that heavily promoted but she didn't do all the promo on her own because of the film company and Cher, etc.
CY T She cancel the tour for bionic because the album didn't do as well as stripped&back to basic.She had to promote the movie Burlesque,then was the divorce,the voice and from that moment on everything went wrong.Who really is a fan of Xtina buys her albums with or without promotion.But i hope she focus on her music not The Voice.
DDICR Well that's speculation as to why she cancelled the tour as that was not the official reason given but she still didn't promote it much beforehand except for a bit in the run-up to Not Myself Tonight and the album release. After that she did a couple of You Lost Me performances and made a video, then that was it, she appeared to lose interest and focused on Burlesque. Divorce stuff came after Burlesque, when Bionic was over. With Lotus she barely promoted it outside of doing a few performances on The Voice, that was it, it wasn't enough.
l.xtasy Well I don't know if making a whole country album would be smart. I mean after all she did a Spanish Album and it hardly moved. Country fans like Country people not really people singing country that have never been country. Jessica Simpson is Country and she did a country album and it was not received well. Christina would be doing a reverse of what Tayler swift did, so I don't know if it will work in her favor.She would have to work super hard to make it in Country. Country fans are the most loyal fans out there. With that being said, I would love more songs like the duet that she did with Blake to be on her album, but she should kind of stick to her genre and maybe do a few crossroad songs. That would be great. Or maybe she should ask Darius Rucker what he did to get into country and then possibly do the same. I can't wait to see what happens.

l.xtasy Well originally its Pop even though she has soul and R & B she originated in Pop even way back to her MMC days. That's why she was one of the Pop Princesses. I see Christina like Madonna. Madonna is always reinventing herself and pushing the limits and challenging the status quo. She could most certainly do country, but all I'm saying is that Country fans may not let her in that easily. Look how upset everyone got when Ariana Grande was on there. At least Christina can melt into the country/pop scene. She already started with the song she did with Blake (Which I love that song, so much it described my break up pretty accurately). I know she hasn't enjoyed as much commercial success with her past two albums as she did during her first decade on the scene, but I really like and respect her work, her work /ethic/, her love of music and how she carries herself as an artist, philanthropist, businesswoman and human being. And I can gladly say she's back and I'm so excited for her next album to drop #TheRealThing
a lot of her past albums' performance issues were in marketing and poorly-targeted artistic direction, two things she has the clout and connections to overcome this time around
