Top half just opened so it's still sweet. Lower half was amazing for a while. But yeah now it's braking bumps and hassome ruined berms from early wet summer. Still a tonne of fun and some sections are still awesome but they need a much bigger trail crew if they wanna keep it up. They are focusing on new trails and expanding rather than maintaining. It's getting busier every day too. Either way though I'd recommend a visit, it's awesome. I'm lucky enough to live there and have a season pass.
That's why I basicly only do the dueble black lines cuz they don't get bumps. Its sad, last week I rode in les orres bike park, france, and there is this amazing black jump line called riding red but you can only a few hundred meters untill you need a rest, it's become unridable for me on anything other then a 29er dh bike. Often I just choose the black or dueble black dh track cuz people there know how to use brakes properly
@@jacksonboyle8069 There's six bike parks within a 3.5 drive of Revelstoke - Panorama, Kicking Horse, Revy, Silver Star, Big White, and Sun Peaks. Kinda nuts when I put it that way.
@@pinkbike Seriously inspiring. I had my daughter and son watch this. They want to get out there and shred! Your riding there took Whistler down a notch in their eyes!
That spot looks perfect for some rent a bike bikers to start creating some real deep braking bumps, it's dry, dusty, flowy, fast, and you don't actually need to brake? Sound perfect for some deeeeep bumps to get stared. That's I think whay black trails truly exist in bike parks, just to have artificial braking bumps to enjoy instead of real ones. To be honest that's why I will always prefer black and dueble black trails as they don't get as bad or as manny bumps and keep the berms functional.
Sad, that Mountain Biking has devolved, to being similar to Snow Skiing. You ride a lift to the top of a mountain and you coast down. Next up, the Tour De France is just down hill coasting!
BC bros- you call that elevation? This, is elevation! East Coast bros- You call that tech? This, is tech! BC bros- you can't come here. East Coast bros- fuck
Damn this looks sweeeet 😍😍 sadly my canyon strive is collecting dust since there is no bike parks in or near Paris (France) 😅... would love to make a trip to BC one day
I was in Revy through the 90s when this was just 'a fantasy' and the old locals were super stale on the idea. Only the old hardcore Heli/Cat operators could see the future but, they were fcukd by local politics... Might have to drop in and see what the...
Definitely intrigued by the title. Can't really go wrong when it comes to B.C. and mountain biking. Didn't make it through the whole clip yet, but I made it far enough to realize, that thanks to Christina, the mountain bike "yelp" doesn't sound nearly as silly as when dudes are doing it.
I'm a big fan! It's got that European vibe annnnndddddd less folks up there :-) Great spot to enjoy some lunch and then shred down 5620ft of vert -Christina
i so badly want to hit revvy sun peaks and silverstar on a 3 day trip but afraid my hands won't be able to take it... especially on never ending blue flow trails.. i'd be tempted to over ride each day
A couple questions for Christina, how do you like the Trek Slash? Everyone says that the knock block and Re Active stuff are very irritating, what do you think of them. Also is there any reason you bought (or had sent to you) the Slash instead of the Remedy? The Remedy 9.8 is my favorite bike so I like to pick at people who get a Slash or Fuel EX 😂. Finally, this really demands on is Trek sponsors you, but will your next bike be a Trek? I don’t see many Treks on RU-vid, so it’s always a nice surprise. I’ve got my 2020 Trek Roscoe 6, so I’ve got a lower end Trek, but I’m always looking for deals. Thanks! #trekisthebest
Heya! I LOVE my Slash. Went to 29r wheels a few years ago and never looked back. The Slash is said to be the "enduro machine" so I couldn't pass up the opportunity. It's very snappy with the shorter rear end. The knock block took a few days to get used to but I now like it a lot and it helps with my bar turns. I have not noticed anything bad about better working rear brakes and traction so.... Re Active is all good in my book -Christina
That was my thought, looks like standard blue jump lines like most bike parks have. The black tech looked tame. Would probably be a lot of fun for an intermediate rider, but I think an advanced rider looking for yuuuggeee jumps or gnar fests might feel underwhelmed.
@@mrvwbug4423 The cool thing about the jumps there is anyone can hit them or roll them but we were going pretty big...even if the footy doesn't show that haha And I've never ridden a trail in a bike park that descends 5620 feet! And I live in Whistler where we have Top of the World so... it was a real treat. -Christina
