Thanks for saying so! A lot of people here say it's raspy or the reed is too hard or the mouthpiece is too bright but this is my perfect setup. It's taken sixteen years of tone exercises to get this sound. Thank you so much!

We watched this video in my band class a couple of weeks ago. We used it as a example when we were learning about saxophones. In my entire school, I am the only one who plays the Tenor Saxophone so we used this video as a example. :))

I see and hear greatness in both players. Mandy is holding the tenor saxophone as a true professional does; her sound is tenor good. Brian is a gentleman - a decent youngster who seems to guide and promote unselfish success; the wind beneath Mandy's wings. I adore the look of the soprano saxophone, and admire Brian's sound. Nice duet; keep together - musically, I mean! Wise post!

+CrypticClips it's quite hard to get the low notes at first especially if you play another instrument (I went from the clarinet to tenor saxophone and its quite hard to get the low notes). Its quite large but not to big that its hard to play. Good luck

+Panther_1009 _ base clarinet and tenor are practically the same instruments

try pushing out gently with both thumbs...the horn is then held by your trisngle of your neck and the pressure away from the 2 thumbs - then all fingers and thumbs are light and free to move as if you were playing an instrument like a piano. This helps dramatically with high notes too, as the horn will not "get away" from you. Good luck!

Wow this was just gorgeous..so nice also to see an artist feel what they are doing so deeply as the young lady, Mandy, on tenor while waiting for her turn to play...such beautiful music beautifully arranged harmonies and very soulful, thanks to both of you that was really inspiring. Im just getting back into the sax after years lay off and hope to be able to play this beautifully someday..
