This was sooo good. I was literally just talking about how it seems that we have soooo many know it all or influencers in this day in age and most of them are using their platforms for their glory instead of the Glory of God. Its getting scary it seems that everyone values everyone's thought and opinion on social media and can barely hear what God is saying. This was so powerful. What I took from is to tune out what everyone is trying to tell us do and closely listen to what God wants.

I mean, you have to choose to pull away from social media and get into a quiet and still place and be in communication with God for yourself. Social media isn't the only problem. People have been conditioned to idolize pastors, titles, denominations, sanctuaries, church attendance, and many things for far too long. It's time to we choose to come to ourselves, surrender, humble ourselves, repent, and to totally submit to the will and voice of GOD in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ of NAZARETH. The name above ALL names. AMEN.

I prayed about this, where I told god it appears that alot of people are giving their own opinions when preaching rather than what the scripture is really saying but I wasn't sure, and then I stumbled on this. Wow

Yes, so so true. We focus so much on opinion and self. We seek validation from others when we should be seeking God's truth. Although scripturally, Jesus was not always "gentle". He was also direct. (Think how he spoke to the Pharisees). He showed holy anger. (Turning over the tables, throwing people out at the temple). Gentleness is one of His beautiful qualities and one of His expressions of love, but His love is expressed in different ways. All that to say, most of us have not mastered gentleness or holy anger or the other ways Godly love is expressed (especially me!)

It's a blessing that we have these types of platforms to reach the masses. The only problem is that there are MANY that are false teachers and prophets using these types of platforms as well. Unfortunately, MANY people don't have Godly discernment and hold on to every word these people are saying. Nor do they even ask GOD to give them HIS discernment or to increase it. So, they won't be deceived. Like the Bible says, MANY will heap up teachers for themselves, and that is what is going on nowadays. They get caught up in the fame, popularity, wealth, and appearance of the person or image before them. And choose to deny and reject GOD'S word and will as they should. Like the Bible says, there is NOTHING new under the sun. This has been going on for quite some time now.

What Laurie Crouch just said is so true. It does seem as though the voice of outrage is such a commodity and the voice of Truth (or the good voices) are almost drowned by people's thoughts and opinions. And I think as Christians and followers of Christ the full Armour of God is so important!! The helmet of Salvation. The belt of truth. The breast plate of righteous. For shoes the good news. The shield of faith. The sword which is the word and what glues this all together PRAYER!

Some ppl in 2020 had good reason to be angry. Which is different from outrage. A Christian can be a Christian and still experience anger. It’s how that anger is handled that matters. One can have a righteous anger (as in the case of racial profiling, police brutality, watching a man be killed at the hands of police & then have that trauma minimized by other Christians). Jesus demonstrated a righteous anger in Matt 21:12-13, in addition to being meek and gentle. If we don’t talk w each other and truly deal with these issues (rather than saying ‘don’t be angry’), then a deep sense of frustration will likely remain.

There are those who are looking for teachers who will teach, preach, and minister the word of God in a pure, rare, true, and authentic form. But there are many/countless people that aren't looking for that. And that's how many influencers end up becoming so popular and noticeable. Especially if they are talking about certain topics like singleness or marriage. Because the majority of people desire marriage but don't desire to do it God's way, for God's glory, or for God's will.
