Christine Ebersole: "Another Winter in a Summer Town" (Grey Gardens - Playwrights Horizons) 

Christine understands the power of quiet and stillness. It can draw you in to a moment far more than a lot of histrionics onstage. Just watch her face and listen. Such a stunning scene. The entire audience was spellbound and silent in that incredible "Coming...mother, darling" moment.

Well goddamn. Saw her perform this from the front row on Broadway as a college student and it was life altering.

"But no one took the party tent down / The pink paper lanterns still tinkle in place / My young Navy hero, his tender embrace" There's something about these lines that moves so much, the acting is absolutely top notch ❤

Great musical piece.

This was the show that prompted my renewed interest in musicals. It brought me back to Broadway after a very long hiatus. I couldn’t wait to see this and it didn’t disappoint. Long time Grey Gardens fan and it definitely didn’t disappoint! In fact, I loved Christine Ebersole so much that I took my 6 year old daughter to see War Paint. Ebersole posed for a picture with her after the show which we both will always cherish!

a performance which sticks with you for a while..... Christine Ebersole was just amazing.

Such a powerful, memorable moment in Broadway history. Gave me chills.
