It was just overshadowed by Bosnia, most other years this would have done better, but Bosnia aced the "ethnic elements" category (Speaking as a Norwegian)
As a norwegian, I have to say that this is the only ESC-song from my country, that just by closing my eyes, bring me out in the wild norwegian wood! :-D Yeah, and of course Nocturne! ;-)

Listening Norwegian music in the place where the Greek mythology , philoshopy and so many others were born is not something you see everyday . Unique and beautiful at the same time.
I absolutely love this song. I wish Norway would always sing in Norwegian, as it's such a beautiful language. Christine is so beautiful as well and has a really lovely voice. This wonderful song should have achieved a better result. Godt gjort, Norge! 🇧🇻🇧🇻🇧🇻

Like if angels are singing 🎤 their traditional songs!!!!! Amazing 😉 ! It is a true masterpiece!!!! The best song in that century !!!
@Sora Yes over Lordi. Yeah Lordi was groundbreaking for the eurovision scene, and its a great song no doubt, and definetely a worthy winner. But as far as rock/metal songs goes its not very unique, it's great and generic. Alvedansen on the other hand is far more unique and magical at the same time. (Believe me, there are cases of unique songs that's not particulary good at all; Toy - Netta for example).
