Author Christine Toomey shares from her newest book and responds to questions from the community.
In In Search of Buddha’s Daughters, Christine Toomey travels around the world staying with Buddhist nuns in the East and the West - in Nepal, India, Burma and Japan, as well as the US, UK and France - "drawing the reader inside their unexpectedly fascinating lives” (Mara Hvistendahl, The Wall Street Journal).
“In a world numbed by the amount of attention paid to violence, terrorism, and political and religious power struggles,” she writes, “I find it profoundly refreshing to come across women whose lives are dedicated to nurturing the opposite.”
