This song should make you cry, means you have a heart, makes you think because you care. Anyone trying to make us forget about things like this that actually happened should be damned.

No matter how often I listen to this song, I cry a much as I did when I first heard it.

I tear up as I watch this heart wrenching video on New Years Eve 2020. It is especially poignant as the US is a country divided, Excellent performance by the exquisite voices of Celtic Thunder. And kudos to whoever put this video together. Fine editing of the films, "Joyeux Noel" and "War Horse," Each scene perfectly fits the words to the song.

The saddest fact is the Christmas Munity almost succeed, refusal to fight...we almost stopped most of the future wars

The worst part is we need these terrible stories from the past to create that emotional beautiful wonderful song today.

Wonderful song and video but the truce was 1914, The generals didn't want there men to become friends with the opposite side so they never let it happen again.
