Ikr, sso have taken away so much stuff from thr game. Like how now you just have to press a Button to get access to all chothes. Theres no chalange left in the game :(
Same even tho I never played sso in the old days. I only watched videos and played on the foals app bc I never had a laptop and never knew how to download it... 😕
I swear the game soundtracks were a lot louder, intense and played more often, now I barely hear them. The music is what made the game more magical, more Star stable… I miss the old sound effects, interface and game mechanics. Experiences like having to press W to maintain speed, or having to wait for the bus to go to Jorvik City. Simple things like that are what made Star Stable so magical to me. Now it’s like it’s lost that spark and even though the game is improving, it’s lacking? Gone are the days when playing SSO felt surreal and you actually felt a powerful connection to Jorvik, the characters and your horses. I truly miss the old Star stable.

I remember when I started you couldn’t even jump, you needed star rider. Also you couldn’t take of your horses tack, it was fun but I don’t exactly miss it.
I will forever miss these days. I feel like modern SSO has no soul to it. I know that they will not ever create an old sso version but could they at least add the old soundtrack..so nostalgic
Im personally glad things changed, its for the better. SSO wouldn't that the playerbase they do now if they kept everything the same. The game would have died off quickly as new modern games took it's place. But I do miss when everything was simple like this. The game was so charming.
Couldn’t have said it better. The game is improving and updating its assets, but yet it’s lacking despite of this? They definitely ruined the entire experience by removing the original sound tracks. The current plot of the main quests, and the updated soul riders, feel very unauthentic when compared to the original soul riders and main quests. The Soul Riders’ personas are completely different, and the quest lines don’t feel the same. It’s like they lost the original plot? I know games cannot stay stuck in limbo, they need to and move with the times. But the way the entire company is now compared to a couple years ago is drastically different. They’re too focused on money and their shareholders, and don’t show enough dedication to providing a good experience for their player base. It’s heartbreaking to think that SSO will probably be gone in a few years, if they continue to follow destructive patterns and not listen to the player base.
i am so sad i decided to delete all of my sso youtube videos that i had from years ago. i wish i hadn't have deleted them, or at least saved them, as i cannot ever see them again. i would do anything to have those videos i made back. it's not the same anymore :(
and the old steve’s too, everyone standing around that iconic white paddock and people always trying to get on that trailer 😭 but sso keeps sucking the little bit of life left out of it
I particularly loved the old sunset. Darker evenings with bright orange sky were so atmospheric and relaxing. I was really upset when they changed the skybox after the Silverglade revamp. I asked a dev about it and they told me people would complain about the orange/red sky but I feel like what we have currently is way worse :( so washed out
This! After the winter update I felt like everything was so bright and too white, and went back to look at some old screenshots to see what was different. The lightening was so much better and different than it is now. The shading isn't strong enough, and it's all too bright. I wish they would change it.
Theres also a really strange filter that is on, when you fall it shows a glimpse of what could be better lighting but the ugly filter goes back on again :(
Im literally crying I need old star stable so much Im sure that if someone made a old star stable as a next game to the new sso like more than 50% players would abandon new version and go back to the old star stable

@@xw3ronikax163 I know, I'm also an old player. It hurts so much to have been playing the 2010 beta, then the 2011 swedish release and 2012 global release together with my old friend. May she rest in peace.
To add to this, we played together until 2016/17, lost contact and in 2020 I found out she passed away due to cancer. I still play, but on a new account. The game feels lifeless despite the snow coming back.
As funny as the comparison of genres is, I just moved on to rdr2 and have a beautiful main shire that has a long braided tail and is fully black and looks like a night fury lol his little hops after he gets spooked over something that’s not even twice his size kills me
i need this back so much... i don't really like anything that is in sso right now yet i still play it because this game is basically me. i started when i was a kindergartener and could never leave it fully, no matter how much i disliked the new things. i bl33d and breathe star stable, it's the only thing from my childhood that i can hold on to, jorvik is my second home even if its overexaggerating. having a 2014/2015 version of the game back would be relief to me.
That was confirmed impossible, we do not posses any files older than 2018 that aren't broken or incomplete. Especially since at that point in time there was no external launcher
Oh how I miss those old soundtracks and voice effects. Ofc sso have to keep the graphigs and everything updated, but I miss the feeling of old sso deeply.
Christmas in sso 2013 had vibe and you could feel that "Omg christmas is comming" opening calender on their website and quests and now it's just like: meh christmas, meh village again, meh I think most of the older players miss the old christmas in sso whoever is reading this happy 2023!! :3
the winter quest this year was fun tho, And the snowwwwww. Yes the old quests are my childhood too but they were the same every year for yearssss, Im playing since 2013 so i was bored with the same thing every year and im glad they try to do some new things now. its still not perfect but def better than like a year ago.
I can't believe how many veterans have been recommended to this video (including myself)! I miss the days of stability from 2014 to 2018. I miss the April Fool's Day prank, the Easter event, and much more. I miss all of my best friends because, I suppose, they are young adults while I am a teenager because I was like a toddler playing SSO from 2014-2016.
I started playing this the year it was released. And continued for like more than 8 years. It has changed so much from the time I have played. It was more peaceful and empty back then. The perfect way to relax urself. I have recently logged on to my old account and I can't believe how much it has changed. Like the crusty musty starter horse IS GONE- and who remembers cookie swirl C and her old sso videos...-
kinda wish the game was still like this tbh. don't get me wrong, the new stuff they're putting out can be great, but i often miss the old textures and sounds.
Its ok we can say it, i am not a fan of the new updates respectfully… They couldve just improved the realism graphics and kept the main quest going…We would still love it regardless..
i never knew how much i missed old star stable. dont get me wrong, having realistic looking horses is great, but the atmosphere is completely different from what it used to be, and i miss it so much. i also wish they brought this kind of snow back, i hate the deep snow so much and the ground and trees look so much better like this rather than what we have now

oh, how much i miss how magical this all sounds. fort pinta, silverglade, everything. i used to have steves farm as my homestable, it doesn‘t feel like it used to anymore tho. the music, everything. i wish i would‘ve never left those times.
my god the nostalgia hits like a truck. i can't even believe this was that long ago because it feels like 2013/2014 was only last week, and now it's 2023. i know that even if they brought back the old SSO, it would never feel the same because most of us grown up and matured, but damn i'd love to go back to this for a day.
this game literally used to be so magical back in the day. the old main quests gave off a mysterious and an eerie vibe, like infiltrating the darkcore hideout, or the golden apple witch race, but now it's all washed out and sso is completely changing, just look how many things have changed from release of this vid. i know that some changes may be more appealing to newer players, but really, does sso get more new players than just the amount of the old ones quitting the game? i dont really think so. it really sucks that they removed the OG silverglade soundtrack, literally everyone heard it in the game at least once before the removal, it was exciting, it sounded like a brand new adventure. now we're left with a quite boring and just a simple track, which doesn't fit the game itself at all. it's actually kinda weird to think that the newer players wont even recognize this old soundtrack as the part of the game. music never gets old, its timeless, and sadly they took it away from us, man i wish they just left at least the soundtrack, but probably they wont change it anytime soon, they simply dont care about it. one of the greatest memories i have with this old silverglade soundtrack is just riding in the wheat field behind the old silverglade village, the one with the group race and a tree, and just jumping there on my starter horse, i wish i could do that again :(
I really miss the old vibes. The sso we have now has no soul.. I just wish they worked on the graphics more to make things feel less like plastic and more alive.
OH wow youtube recomended this to me. How I miss the old days and old sso. The Times when new horses did not come out every month and clothes had reasonable prices. Please never delete this video it is memories for us, old players.
10 years ago - I was there! I've loved this game for 10 years now, I joined back in 2013. While the game has definitely declined in my eyes, I'll always love it because of the memories it gave me.
I started playing maybe 2 years ago, so obviously I've never experienced any of this, but just based on this video I love the old sounds and textures so much more then what we have! It feels like the game was going for something different, and now I feel like the basic cartoony textures we have don't have much personality to them at all
How did this get on FYP I need SSO to switch back to everything they used to be. There was so much more love in the community and so many more memorable things I miss the old graphics and anims/soundtracks and sound effects of SSO ;_;
i miss old star stable,e so much, i remember when everyone used to hang out at steve’s farm, i remember old silver glade, i remember that one clothing shop in silver glade, i remember the music, the snow, it was so nice and i would do anything to go back to those times
