It’s really fun to be a kid on Christmas since you get a lot of cool stuff for free but as an adult you have to pay for everything, and you’ll be happy to revive things like clothes and socks
As someone who's 19 and is mainly focused and stressed about college at the moment, I feel this. Lol in all seriousness, I got some of my friends and family members gifts this year and I'm really excited to see what they'll think. I'm giving my friend his gift tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that. And while my excitement has died down a bit over the years, I do still think it's a nice holiday and enjoy spending time with my family. Also the overall atmosphere during the holidays is just nicer
One thing I appreciate about Christmas when getting older is the meaning of it all To a kid, it’s “Yay! Presents!”, but as an adult (at least to me), it’s about showing kindness and loving one another. Yes, there’s the religious aspect too, but not everyone celebrates that
My mom still gets so excited for Christmas even though she doesn't usually get anything but instead gets excited to see us excited, I love her for that.
I live in Australia so like instead of freezing cold it burns. Normally we have a barbecue, sometimes on the beach. Christmas day has like 10 million surfers on 1 beach.
Holidays (whether's it's Christmas, Halloween, Easter, or your Birthday) as a kid are the best time to be alive. But as an adult they're just like any other normal day.
@@advicewstarships or its you still want a lot of things but the things you want are too expensive and you know you wont get them so you just dont bother asking
Ive hit 17 and im already in the adult mindset and have been like this since around 15 ish and my younger brother is 16 and still is in the mindset of a kid when it comes to Christmas . He sees fun Christmas gifts and ✨the joy of the holiday season✨ and meanwhile i see the reason why money is going to be tight for the next 2 months and my parents marriage being even more strained with each Christmas that goes by lol.
Christmas as a kid is so much better, your parents get you gifts and you enjoy them, but as adult, it's honestly depressing, because the spark that was in christmas as a kid just, kinda died out. You get no gifts (unless your family members or girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband/friends gets you one) you have to get gifts for your kids (if you have them) and it's honestly just depressing.
not for me😜 my plans when i grow up: be single - no kids live with my trio - we will get gifts each other work from home - no reason now this is going to be my beautiful life forever ❤
Christmas as a kid is so much better than as an adult. As an adult, you don't really get anything you want anymore, your parents don't get you presents, and there's a bunch of reasons as well... but that's all I can think of...
There's one thing that'll never change for me on Christmas every year. I'm constantly disappointed by gifts, and the toys while growing up get damaged and neglected, also, I ultimately like Halloween way more.
i remember when i was little, the magic of waking up early and seeing a full Christmas stocking on the end of my bed, then my siblings would get all excited showing each other's stockings. just something nice to occupy ourselves with so the adults could sleep just a little longer. i also remember every Christmas eve i was sick with excitement and unable to sleep. good times.
This was the first time that I'm not that excited about Christmas. I'm glad I have some time off work but I felt like something was wrong with me for not being excited for Christmas.
Like for when you’re a kid, you see the joy in Christmas, but as an adult, you don’t see the joy at all. I always take a moment to appreciate enjoying the Christmas parties with my relatives and eat good food, listening to that good Christmas music too, even watching the SpongeBob Christmas specials.
Hey tbh as a normal teen living in 2023 Christmas really didn’t have any hyped expectations. I went to the Philippines for Christmas which is like where everyone loves the holiday (bc it’s the only one). Time here feels like it’s rushing but it’s not. the fact that Christmas today without me recognizing it makes me feel old and sad
When i eas younger. Every single year of December of every year i was eager, keing, impatient, & hyper. I did not have the patient to wait that i was energetic of eager and impatient. But now im more patient, calm relaxed
Even as a teenager, the magic of Christmas can sometimes slowly start to disappear… especially when you already know by this point that Santa Claus is make-believe. But I’ll still love Christmas! Even if I prolly ain’t gettin’ my Nintendo Switch anytime soon. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! 🎄 🎁
I still enjoy getting really fun gifts that kids would really want for christmas, but instead I got nothing but disappointment for christmas since 2018
Once upon a time not so very long ago, I watched this and instantly knew it was VERY relatable and true, especially as someone who's currently 18 years old! The End!
People who are saying that as a kid, the christmas was dope and ad an adult is really dull.... you guys are absolutely wrong, imagine inviting all your friends and family to a house, have a christmas party, get drunk and play monopoly with 20 other people while talking about how that one uncle got robbed while sleeping in a pub.. and the present thing, secret santa exists, you dknt have to spend a lot of money for a lot of people and you will still get presents from your friends, i personally think that christmas as an adult is kinda dope too, expecially if you are with a girlfriend or partner
no but then when you tell your parents that our stand eve shouldn't be a day because it takes too long to be Christmas, they just say 'stop wishing your time away! You'll regret it, Jimmy!' 👺👹😒
As a kid I wanted A LOT of things for Christmas but now my Christmas list is very small for my family. It's barely even a Christmas list. So yeah it has changed from when I was kid to now. I don't really want a whole lot 😂
I got an iPhone 13 for Christmas :D now I can play Genshin :DDD I also got 2 Mokke Plushes and a bunch of other anime merch I also got a skateboard :DDDD best Christmas:>
Ah transition year. That's when you get older, Christmas stops being fun the end of a fun time era. After you get ties, when you get socks, underwear, pants, shirts, important supplies, school supplies, work supplies, adulthood supplies; you get your hands cut off.
Celebrate christmas two different times One on Christmas Eve I see different Relatives on Christmas eve. In one on the day of Christmas. I see different Relatives
yo when i got socks for christmas i used to be so disappointed because i would be asking for Pokémon cards and i get socks it is Definity a big disappointment
I like how he's literally 6 months older than me but acts like he's a fully grown adult. 😭 Tbh, I still have Christmas spirit and joy in me since Christmas is my favorite Holiday. And while it's not the same as when I was younger, I hope that I will never lose the Christmas spirit. Even when I'm in my 30s. 🎄
I am mixed about Sox as a gift. I am 39 but do not like to get them, I get why adults like me should like them. You gave me the gift of freeing some money in would normally use to by clothes to do something else. Like buy a game or be ahead on a bill. In evilly though I feel bad for the person that got me Sox though. I stopped wearing them due to the fact that after each every go through the washrine cycles I lose.., half of them? Ether way I twould week they are gone. So I feel like the person wasted their money on me. I stopped wearing Sox like that. With that said If they by me programmer sox. I don't think I care. I am buying my first pair in january. Hopefully they stick around. I hope after I wash them I don't just get back 1 or they both dussapear. Lol.
