I've been in the middle of moving house and haven't had time to watch your content :( just sat down tonight to watch this video and I realised how much I missed your videos, Miranda!! These are some wonderful stocking filler ideas (for myself) lol. Thank you for helping me to feel all festive :)
Yesss!!!! Miranda you really have great taste, every gift idea that you’ve recommended I’ve wanted at least once or all the time, I mean I’m not a subtle person, I make it very obvious that I like anything dealing with reading or just cozy comfortable things like, tea, Chocolate, any type of paper products, cups, pencils, pens etc… and I still end up with some type of shirt that’s too small and I’m too embarrassed to say um!!! I’m much bigger than this…so I keep it and eventually gain a new dust cloth, or a cabinet full of ramekins.. 🤣🤣🤣… I’m really not ungrateful but I have a lot of ramekins.. tell Donna I said hello… thank you for another great video 🥰💕
Hi Miranda….what wonderful and thoughtful stocking stuffers. I would be so pleased to receive any one (or more) of those gifts. One thing I always place in the family’s stockings is a beautifully wrapped new toothbrush. So silly. It started as a joke many many years ago, but it’s now tradition. I also do not place names on my wrapped gifts, to avoid prying eyes. I number the gifts and keep a master list. I love to keep the family guessing! That is another tradition started by my mom when my siblings and I were small. Just do not lose the list!!! 🎄
You first introduced me to Elizabeth Harbour ornaments not so very long ago and I now have around 20! They are just lovely, reasonably priced, and make me smile! Thank you, Miranda!
Hello! I liked all your recommendations! Thank you! Especially the books!I love to look at the background l, with the bookshelves and all the lovely book spines... Thanks a lot! Your channel is such a treat!
Miranda, Pls ask yr Mum to adopt me! Then we could be sistuhs-cross-the-pond. Yes. Lovely. Speaking of lovely, the Xmas stocking and the ornaments, well, I would use as bookmarks. My Mother was a huge Anglophile and passed the infection, I mean, affection or addiction, lol, re: anything ENGLISH or rather UK related. So I luv yr channel & NEVER miss a posting. And enjoy rewatching as a matter of fact. My Mother always fixed/steamed a store bought (UK made) plum pudding for Xmas. Hate to say I am not a fan, but-- the HARD SAUCE? YUM-MO. Blessings and good cheer.🇺🇸🌏🇬🇧
I would gladly receive any of those sweet little gifts!😂💗 Seriously, those are wonderful ideas, a lot that I already used and that always are very appreciated. Merci Miranda for this lovely video.🙏🏻🤗😘
Terry’s chocolate orange! I had to laugh when you unexpectedly fished that out of the Christmas stocking 😁 I always have one and eat some of it for breakfast. They never last much beyond Boxing Day! I’m wondering if letter writing is more popular, or could become more popular, now that a lot of people write in journals. I’ve seen RU-vid channels by people who write in beautiful calligraphy, so writing seems to be quite popular (?) One thing I’ve always done is to send handwritten thank you letters to people. When my children were young I had them do the same.
What a wonderfully Christmassy video! I love your stocking gift ideas, and i did laugh about the 'random' gifts we sometimes have to produce for people we don't know very well! Definitely going to.follow.some of your links for gifts, but just may have to purchase the beautiful folding desk calendar for myself.....! X
Such a great video Miranda, I love the way you had everything in an actual stocking, so fun! Really wonderful ideas, I’m making notes for myself as well as others, I would love to find all of these in my stocking! I especially love the tea towel and the Pigeon folded letters, and I am definitely checking out Kaweco pens, I love writing with a proper fountain pen. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into making your videos, they are a real joy to watch.
Thank you for this Miranda. I would be happy to receive any or all of your lovely suggestions in my Christmas stocking! Some lovely ideas for other people too of course!
Thank you so much for these lovely recommendations Miranda, I bought several of them for my bookworm daughter including the pigeon post stationery and the book of poetry she loved them!
You have such great taste . Lots of great ideas for gifts. The Fountain 🖊 pen, of course for me. The chocolate orange, reminds me when I was a little girl, yummy .🎄🎄Thank you for all you’re beautiful videos. I just finished The Diary of the Provincial Lady. Delightfully, and funny.
So many wonderful suggestions. I like the Burt's. Their lip balm is wonderful. The stationery that folds into an envelope is clever. I write to pen-pals, but our letters are always 6+ pages long. LOL
Thank you for such good ideas of Christmas presents🤶"Ballet Shoes" is my love, it's so soothing, comfort reading for me)) It's a tradition in our family to go to the theatre on the 25th or the 31st of December to watch 'The Nutcracker' ballet, nowadays we watch the live streams of it. The one I love is by the Bolshoi, though the Mariinsky Theatre's version is great as well. Every December I always buy a new Christmas tree toy for my collection of majolica decorations. By the way, in our culture you will always see tangerines on the table at Christmas and New Year, people associate Christmas holidays with the smell of tangerines🍊🙃 we have a saying that books are always the best present, so I'm looking forward to watching your next video📚🎄
@@MirandaMills I would be glad to take you there, let's hope the situation will improve in the nearest future🤞yeah, I should make clove studded oranges for a change this year😉
Thank you for the ideas. I have this and next year's Almanacs and think the 2022 one looks better than this year's. I haven't heard of Kawecko pens so ill check them out👍Some of my friends give Terry's chocolate oranges but all families have their own traditions. it is such a tradition in my family to put a few nuts to crack, a tangerine and chocolate coins in the toe and I wouldn't change it. I might pluck up the courage to make some sweets to go with it this year though in a pretty tin.
Seeing your chocolate orange brought back sweet memories of my Mom (quite the Anglophile) giving me one every year after she read about the custom in a novel. I loved your gift ideas and now want all for myself!! This was a great start to the holiday season. Wishing an enjoyable weekend to both you and Donna. ( Like your Christmas pin.)
Such wonderful and tasteful suggestions. I'm taking away at least two gift ideas, and I'm never this early with my gift planning. The origami letters are so pretty and clever. I may have to purchase as a gift for myself, so that's now three gift ideas...! 🎄 🎁
Haha so happy you enjoyed this video, Pamela & that it gave you some ideas! I’m by nature more of a last minute Christmas planner / shopper, but being on social media means I’ve had to become a lot more organised 😂🎄🎁
so many great and helpful suggestions, Miranda! I always have trouble getting stocking stuffers so will try to keep these in mind this year 😀 and might just finally get the Scribbler for myself!
I have just ordered some Pigeon folded letters on your recommendation, thank you for introducing me to them. So many other delights I shall definitely be looking into. Just dis your wonderful channel 🤗📚
Thank u Miranda. Really good ideas for Christmas. Everyman’s pocket classics will definitely go in the stockings this year, both poems and short stories collection. 💗
I forgot to mention in my earlier comment that I also adore the Elizabeth Harbour ornaments. I fell in love with them when you first showed us them (last Christmas?), I’d never come across them before. I now have a lovely collection, and am looking forward to putting the Christmas ones up soon!
Every idea you’ve mentioned is wonderful and I’d be thrilled to find any of them in my stocking. I love how Christmasy you and your background look also. What a delightful start to the weekend❤️💚thank you
Love all of these Miranda! I actually purchased two of the Countryman’s Winter Notebook when it released -one for myself and one to gift my mom for Christmas. I think she’ll love it and I’ve enjoyed it as well. The chocolate orange is a tradition here too and it’s so interesting to see yours wrapped like that. Here in the states it comes in a box and hard to get into the toe of stockings!
Love your Christmas stocking ideas so much, Miranda! Thank you for sharing! Your video made me so happy and it was a joy watching it. It's been a rough week and it was nice to have a little taste of the warmth and coziness of Christmas. So many hugs! xoxo ;D
Lots of great gift ideas Miranda, I love the Kaweco fountain pen but maybe that is wishful thinking for my own stocking as I am a fountain pen fan!! Thank you so much for sharing your choices with us. Looking forward to the Comfort Book Club and your big Christmas book video. Take care and have a fabulous weekend, Teresa 🌲
Such great ideas for Christmas. Need a bigger stocking. 😂 How would you and your mother like to adopt a 66 year old American woman.?. 🤣 Love your choices, can't pick out a favorite. Anyways, until next week, hope you have a great weekend. Sending you my best wishes. 📚💕
That really was a treasure trove of lovely Christmas presents, Miranda! I admire your taste so much. I want to thank you for the links to Blackwell 's Books - I have ordered twice from them now, and am so impressed with their service. The deliveries to Australia went without a hitch, and their prices are generally better than Book Depository. Thanks for a very interesting video!
What a lovely video! I went straight to a shop today to buy myself a KaWeCo fountain pen 🙈 I had‘nt realised it is a german Company… My new pen is in a dark red and it will allways make me think of your Gift Guide! Thank you so much! 😊
I’m guessing the red bush tea is named “Number 1 Ladies” after the book series, “The Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency”? It’s one of my favorite comfort series. The main character drinks red bush tea ;)
