I'm 81 and this is the first time I've heard of Mog. I am a cat lover & now I can add Mog to my list of cats I love. Too bad my only grandchild is 17. Kudos to all who brought this lovely cat and her community to life, especially Judith Kerr, who's idea she was originally. Thanks for posting.

Well done Sainsburys, you've definitely in my heart and mind overtaken John Lewis this year. You've revived something I thought was lost: a character who came alive in bed time stories read to me by family members who can no longer be with me, and brought Mog to life. Thank you, you've truly started Christmas for me ❤️

I reside in the USA, so I must admit that Mog is brand new to me, but I LOVE the art and CGI versions, both! Mog MOVIE! We need a full length MOG MOVIE!...;)

Every year I have always absolutely loved the John Lewis adverts but this year this is by far the best advert, the music and storyline is wonderful, very sophisticated and unique, especially love the fact that all the money from the new book goes to improving child litracy!

Great advert. I think sainsburys need some credit for having a policynot to do Christmas until remembrance Sunday and 11/11 have been and also linking their advertising to a charity. Not all the big supermarkets do this. Good job sainsburys.

What a very talented household that must have been, Judith Kerr was married to the great Nigel Kneale, the creator of Quatermass. Good on yer Judith, Mog's a fantastic creation.

I'd never heard of Mog in till this advert. I'm guessing she eats eggs in the books as I thought it was a bit of an odd thing for the child to mention.

I used to work there as a youngster. It were okay for a super market job. There was this out reach program to help disabled people work and I met big Tommo, very likeable, salt of the earth kind of guy, I'm not sure exactly what was wrong with him, but his work ethic was unbelievable and he loved everyone. He would almost go into this trance of productivity cutting up those Deli vegetables and meats. His hands would work like a machine, and you could tell the rest of the world would phase out he was so dedicated. However, as he twisted his face in concentration his mouth agape, spit would journey down his lip pooling at the bottom of his dimpled chin falling splat into the ingredients bowl. They would use those ingredients in all sorts and to this day Litres of Tommo juice must have been consumed by the general public. I never could stomach the thought of their food after that.

Well done Sainburys I loved your advert. Mpg was my favourite character. I loved her facial expressions so funny. Much better than John Lewis man in the moon which I didn't get?
