Thank you Lauren for saying that because it can get very overwhelming when you watch all these people with the latest and greatest decor. But I find if I'm selective and I budget my money I can always add a few new pieces each year.. you don't have to break the bank.. to have a beautiful Christmas... Jesus is the reason for the season.. 👍 right❤❤❤
You are so welcome!! I feel like its important because I also fall trap to the comparison game. and its so silly, but we cant help it! and yes, agree agree agree!!❤️❤️❤️
I love ALL of your videos, but I also appreciate when you take the time on your intros to make a thoughtful and important comment about the reality that not all of us change our theme or style every year ❤
Lauren. Thank you so much. You made me feel so much better. I am watching videos where everyone is purchasing new decor and changing their theme and it was making me feel a little down. I am purchasing just a few new things this year and using what I have. You made me feel so much better. I love your videos! ❤
One thing that can help to freshen up your decor without buying more is to just put stuff in a different place than you have been. Just like rearranging furniture changes things up, doing the same with your decor can make you feel like you have all new stuff without having bought anything. 😊 I always say that my Christmas theme is "Christmas"....anything I like. lol But I do tend to lean more vintage/traditional with my Christmas decor. This was a fun video. I was literally sitting down to write out my thoughts and ideas for my porch decor this year so this was great to watch while I was brainstorming. 😊
Your disclaimer about not feeling "less than" when not being one of the people out there buying lots of expensive Christmas decor was refreshing. Especially in light of your channel's emphasis, this was an unselfish message. Way to go!
I definitely use my same Christmas decor year after year. I do purge out things I know I’ll never want to use again, etc. And I add new things every year, but I love traditions at Christmas.
Such a thoughtful and important comment to make....I personally love the fact that I have had decorations for 20 years, so special to our family. Keep being you Lauren, you're so lovely! ❤💚
Honestly those are the best ones!! I’ve only been married for 7 years, but the decorations I have from those first couple years are the ones I love the most❤️
Hi Lauren 🧡 how bout a command strip to layer the tree cutting board with the pretty glass cream tree plate or the nut cracker? Just thought of it when you were talking about layering 😍
I love how you are so intentional with your decor. So realistic to real life. Also it helps us who really do not have room to store decor. I loved your haul! ❤
I do appreciate your intro. We're in a new place, and it's required us to spend way way more than we could have ever guessed in home repairs. Christmas will be just fine with what we have . I enjoy watching all the shopping videos not to feel envious but I rather thoroughly enjoy shopping and mentally decorating my home without spending the money. Your finds are beautiful
My name is Suzanne Gregory and I am from Chester,South Carolin. I love what you said at the beginning of your video. It is not about going out and buying all new stuff having the very best,it is who you have there to celebrate with you to make it special. I love how you are so down to earth and so very sweet. I love the stuff you have to decorate with!! Can’t wait to see every thing when you get home your ready for Christmas. Hope you have a great weekend!!
Hi, you could use command stripes or double sided tape to hold the white tree dish onto the tree board…or tie a ribbon bow on the top of the white tree and hang it from the wood tree…love your videos glad your back…stay well…God bless…💗
Lauren you are so sweet and you always think of others. That was a very special message because yes it could be overwhelming and people can get caught up in buying the latest. The first few years in our new house I did go to the stores especially Hobby Lobby and buy things and I changed my color scheme to blush pink which I love so as I get older I have learned to decorate with what I love and my color scheme and not get caught up in what's popular. I did recently buy a Snowman print from Hobby Lobby cuz I missed out on it last year... and because I have so much stuff especially that I love I have decided to enjoy watching RU-vid channels and staying out of the stores unless I see something I feel I desperately need to have which thankfully has not happened.... yet!!! Your home is beautiful and I love the way you decorate and explain things and I love your finds. I can't wait for your upcoming holiday videos. Hugs and blessings.... Linda
I really enjoyed your haul, just like I enjoy all of your videos. But more importantly I appreciate your heart and your message! You are so kind, and it is so refreshing to see that! I am a pretty new RU-vidr like I have shared before, but people like you TRULY do inspire me and I appreciate it more than you know! I cannot wait to see how you decorate for Christmas!! Many blessings, Emily from Gridiron and Grace. 🥰
Thank you for saying what you did. Also, maybe Velcro’s the white Christmas tree, or double sided tape. Or put a small tiny piece of wood in the back. Like hot glue it. So it stands too. Just and idea
Lauren, it speaks so highly of you that you always express concern about people being consumed by FOMO with the Christmas decor!!❤. I enjoy you videos and love your style. Thanks for sharing your delightful personality!
It’s true! Your channel was part of the Christmas video deluge in my feed! I haven’t watched you before today. Like many others, I appreciate your introduction/disclaimer. I,too, suffered from “more” 😮 and have so much that I don’t see all of what I have boxed up. Perhaps this will be the year to open all of them, it would be just like Christmas! (See what I did there😅) I look forward to checking out your old and new projects.
Hi Lauren, you just mentioned about stacking your tree tray and plate. Great way to do that is use Easyliner. Original grip shelf liner. Cut into narrow strips. That's what I do for everything that I want to lean against a wall. It's rubbery so your items won 't slip. 😊 Now back to watching your video.
We just moved and while I have no intention of buying anything new, I appreciate the "ideas" part of your video...gives me inspiration on ways to reuse my own decor. Thank you!
Thank you for saying that! I say buy what you like not what everyone else likes. It’s your home and you should be able to express yourself when decorating your home 😊 I bought new decor this year and I went with things I absolutely loved. I’m excited to decorate my house this year! 😁🥰
Great video as always. I totally agree with the comments you made about feeling like you have to follow the trends. It’s so unnecessary, but people do get sucked into it unfortunately. It’s not about what’s on the tree, it’s who’s around it that counts. With love from England xx
Thank you for sharing your heart 🩷 I watch your videos cause you are so sweet and such a positive vibe. I have no intention of buying lots of new decor but it’s so fun to watch your beautiful home come together!! I feel so happy and refreshed watching your content compared to how so many other videos leave me feeling. Thank you Lauren! 🩷
I love how you always remind us that we don’t need to buy new things every year! Other RU-vidrs say “ this is a must have!” I appreciate you reminding us that what we have is still perfect to have our homes decorated beautifully without buying all new things every year. 🎄
I am very excited to see what becomes of the tree board on the kitchen counter :). Also love the twinkling light dupe idea!!! Looking forward to seeing that.
I randomly came across your video and I subscribed within the first 3 minutes! I love your attitude about less than, etc. it’s overwhelming sometimes and you feel like a breath of fresh air ❤ can’t wait to watch your videos!!
Thank you for what you said, I’ve found my self watch less videos because of this, I’ve learned that I love decoration that I found from 2nd far better than my new stuff, so I’m very selective nowadays ❤
Loved this video Lauren, I would love to get all new decorations every year but not possible. I go get new stuff each year but certainly not everything as I am raising my granddaughter so obviously she comes first. Have a great day!
Hi Lauren recently found your channel and I am loving it!! Great idea for the mugs...just make sure they stick well to the underside of the cabinet. Love that you made mention that no matter how much or how little you spend its still Christmas and means the same. Keep up the good work and great ideas
It’s fun to watch your videos!!! So glad you do the disclaimer in the start of your videos. It is so true that people feel like they are not enough if they can’t afford the latest trends. Love the traditional Christmas decor!!🌲🎄
I love how you pointed out that you don't need to spend money just because someone on y tube are doing just buy 1 or 2 items if you really want to buy not that you need to buy. I use my decorations and redo it different every yearbook. I just Bought a few items so I can do my small 4 ft tree into theme Grinch theme nothing crazy. Do some diy for ornaments of the Grinch from window cling then bought some green ornaments and that's all I bought .
Loved everything that you got! 😍 So excited to see your decorating videos. You bring so much inspiration around this time of the year and I love every bit of it 🥰
I wonder if that putty stuff that teachers stick posters on the wall would work behind the white tray and the wooden tree board or up against the wall to keep it in place?
Merry Christmas everyone! Happy decorating and Yes! 100% “Keeping up with Jones’s” is alive and well during Christmas time! I used to shop super trendy at Christmas time even though I didn’t even like it!! Crazy!!!!! Now I buy what speaks to me and my husband. We’ve had the same ornaments and ‘Theme’ now for the last 4 years and I still love it! This year all I’m “buying and changing” is adding in some sparkle into the tree. Got a pack on 60 acrylic “icicles” for 23 dollars on Amazon.
