I just found you and can’t stop watching your Christmas decorating videos. You make magic ! I lay in bed at night when everyone is sleeping and turn yiu on my TV and watch all your beautiful ideas. It’s very calming to watch and my mind goes crazy thinking of all the ways I can incorporate your ideas in my own home. Gotta say you must be financially doing well because your decor is very expensive and you have a wealth of decor. So that’s not possible for the average income home. You are very blessed. I love everything you do ! Thank you for your videos !
My Dad did Department 56 Village, it was huge and we all loved it, even our friends would come over to see it! After he passed away, my sister, brother and I took over pieces and created our own villages with our families! We're keeping the tradition going for sure. It was awesome memories for us all❤

So sorry for your loss. I loss my mother in February and my father in September five years ago. It still hurts but it does get a little better with time. You and your family are in my prayers. Take care of yourself.

I've seen all of these videos before, the, 1st time they were on. Now it's nice to see them again. Love your decorating. I actually decorated my house for Christmas during this past week-end. Very early for me, but, I'm having 2 surgeries in 2 states before the end of the yr. So I had no choice, at least I get to enjoy the season & relax now.We have snow for the winter so no fake snow for us, although I would like the snow not to last so long. Almost 5 mos and I hate it. I'll enjoy seeing your decor in the new house!

We do dept 56 Christmas village just this year passed along to my youngest daughter.stopped by her house last night to see it was exciting seeing it at her home.
Always loved watching you decorate the first time I watched your video was a complete clean of porch and fall decorate I remember cuz it got me so motivated to do the same! Lauren, my deepest sympathies are sent out to you. I know just how you feel. I lost my mom on Christmas Eve when I was 40. She was healthy and died from an infection that ravaged her body in just days. It was also three days before my husband and I met and adopted our daughter - the first grandchild for my mom. I was a grown, independent woman, but kept thinking that I was now an orphan. I know it sounds ridiculous but I kept as0king who would take care of me now that she was gone. No matter how old we are, we always need our parents - they’re our soft place to fall - always there to give us that support, smile or hug we made need. It’s hard but eventually I focused more on our wonderful memories and less on my loss. There are times my heart feels heavy and I’d like nothing more than to pick up the phone and talk to her. My thoughts and prayers are with you - your sorrow is just a reflection of your wonderful memories. ~ Linda
Dear Lauren, I just read your post expressing your feelings about losing your mother. I felt the exact way when my husband died. All of his clothes were still in his closet. I thought for sure he would be coming back. When we have a person in our life for so long , it seems impossible that they are gone from us. It might be a kind of shock that we feel. It is too much for our mind and body to understand. The old saying it takes time is really true. You may feel sad, angry, unusually tired , and other emotions for a while. They are all normal feelings. I think of you often at this difficult time. It is a healing process. I promise you will feel better , but it will be a while. Everyone grieves differently in their own way and time. There are no rules for this. Try to stay in the present.Looking back or forward, can complicate your feelings. Take care of yourself.
Can't believe great minds think alike. I've been doing my village for 20 years like that with snow, except my snow is a whole piece of fluff and I put my village on top then I drip snow off the console hiding below. I like your village better, it looks fun and mine is more traditional.

Two months ago we adopted a beautiful fluffy female kitten to give our first cat some company. Within two weeks she had taken over the house! In fact we feel lucky that she even lets us live here, lol!
I was just laughing my butt off my cat had a ground squirrel he was coming up a huge hill it was a big as him he got all the way up and it got loose the chase was on down the hill again he got away it was funny to watch I love kitties so cute.
