Hey guys, this is the quicker video of an old 2 parter video re done. (edited). hope you can make some cute christmas baubles ! thanks for watching , please subscribe if you haven't thanks so much xx
Hi Diana. thank you so much for the tutorial. I made these a few years ago and everyone loved them. When I made mine I did 3 layers of the Christmas material then started from the other end and had my seam in the middle then used the fabric around the middle to cover up all the pins . I will have to give your way a go and see how it turns out.
Hi Margaret, thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment, you know i did it your way a few yrs ago too! i remeber i used lace in the middle to give it a more shabby chic look. :-) xx
This is so great! My grandma used to make these and I've been wanting to make some for the next generation, but I couldn't remember how. Thank you for making this video :)
So cute! I made some similar years ago but yours with the yo-yo puts it over the top! I didn't pin the 2 center flaps tho since the next square will be pinned in almost the same place - holding the flaps down! Your colors and fabric choice makes it look new and fresh, not like mine that looked old and frumpy!!! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing my friend mentioned these last weekend at dinner... her birthday is next Sunday and I am going to make her one as a surprise. We are ballroom dancers so of course I going to use crystals some how....😊
hi Tracy, thanks so much for your inspiring comment, wow ballroom dancers!! i love watching ballroom dancing. i will have a new video of these up soon as this is quite a old video now and i have a better camera now to use. 💚
I found this very interesting. It reminds of kinda like a patchwork of many colors. Can’t wait to try it with many shades of one basic color on a 3 inch ball. I’ve done the star ball with a star on each end so I understood the folding and pinning. Going to try it with satins so it will be shiny and reflect. Thank you for the ideas can’t wait to start. Will let you know how it turns out.
Hi Diana, that is very nice. I have only covered the foam balls with sequins before and find the pins slip out. This technique looks like the pins would stay in place. I will have to try it. Thankyou
I love this variation on these ornaments. I know it's been a while since you posted this, but thank you for sharing, absolutely lovely. And also the "yo-yo". I think here in America it would be referred to more as a ruffle. At least that is what it looked like to me. But I like the yo yo better.
I'm in America and would like to know what size a 6mm ball is please? I normally use a 3 inch styrofoam ball and use 2 1/2" by 2 1/2" fabric or 3" by 2" fabric. I would appreciate any help. Thank you. Judy
Hi there, i believe i say 6cm ball not 6mm thats super tiny LOL but 6cm = 2.5" ball and i used 2" squares of fabric, thanks so much for watching such an old video!
It looks like you're right hand and wouldn't it be easier to put your pens over on the right hand side instead of reaching over underneath of your arm to the left to get your pens? I would make your life so much better
