Sandi I keep waiting to see you activate your water-soluble crayons (the Caran D'Ache ones). It can be so exciting to see the colors move and come to life in a new way. Maybe it's a little creepy, but that's just extra protection. It might stun intruders so I can catch them by surprise when I whop them with something heavy and pointy.
I know that this is an older video, but I wanted to leave a comment. I’m a painter living and working in Brooklyn. I have looked for quite awhile on RU-vid for a channel that actually showed a working artist’s studio practice. So much so that I even thought of starting a RU-vid channel myself. It’s been such a pleasure to watch your work process and with each video that I watch, I want to get into my studio and start painting. Great channel and keep going!

But I have now and will follow you in anything you do. I retired in June. I've always dabbled in painting but hadn't done much in these last few years. I would love an A5 or A4 size book of your art prints. I currently don't have space to hang artwork, and we're hoping to move, but I love looking at art books for color inspiration. Don't doubt, I love, love, love your videos, they are THE best thing on RU-vid and bring me so much joy on Saturdays (it's Saturday here, when they come out) But they would give me as much joy with whenever you could do them. I would do your workshop in a heartbeat. Watching you encourages me to create more, Thank you. I'm trying not to be an over the top creepy fan and tone it down, but I also want you to know how much I like your videos, it's a fine line that I don't know how to balance because I never have wanted to communicate my happiness that they exist with a online creator before. I very recently stumbled onto your channel, but I really like your way of doing your videos. They're great for me to listen to while I work. As for teaching : I teach myself on Skillshare and I'm very glad I do. I hardly promote my classes and I'm making a decent monthly income by now. It does take a good year of consistently good classes to get to a good income, but it's well worth it. If you decide to teach on your website, it will ask a lot more marketing and promoting. That is fine IF you want to do that (I see teaching as a mere source of stable income so I don't want to). In that case, I'm sure you can do quite a good amount of money.

Just recently found your channel. Love it. Would love more showing how you apply paint to surface. Also, when you paint in the S & B sketchbook, do you gesso the pages first when you use Flashe or acrylics? Also I love PKR.
Well, welcome!!! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I have several videos coming that show more of the process of me painting. I do not gesso my pages in my sketchbook before painting in them.

I love your little animals!! would love if you did some online lessons or skillshare. i love your style....what would you call it? i have always loved art but started painting last year i had to stop work as a social worker b/c of several health conditions so started doing youtube tutorials on acrylic painting and LOVE it!! I would call my style right now "stylized" and abstract. still exploring though. what would you call the style you do?
