Honby Lobby is no longer a craft store. Michaels is floundering and its hard to buy on Amazon because you cant see what you are buying. We need to have a new craft outlet. 🌺🌲🌺
I know I was so sad to hear that hobby lobby was decreasing the amount of craft supplies they had Michael's. As you said, it's like so uninspiring to go there and Joanne fabrics is so ridiculously expensive. It's so hard to really find good cross supplies lately

Jody will get hooked. I always wanted to try out this technique. I've seen it in other channels and I have done it before with the kids when they were very little. But it is so much fun to do. And you can add food color to change the color of the crystals. It is a really, really cool technique. Hope you try it out someday soon. God bless you

Omg Annie, I just love all your gorgeous Shabby Chic projects! That wreath is so lovely with all its shimmering goodness! I’ve never seen the borax crystallization before, but it’s such a beautiful technique!
Oh and it is so much fun! I think the hardest part is being patient because it does take a few hours for the crystals to actually start but you'd be surprised at how well they stick onto the material the longer you keep that in the borax solution. Good luck. I hope you tried it out

Gorgeous, Annie!! Adding the additional foam to extend the tree is a great idea! Perfect fit! That tree is beautiful! I'll def be trying out the crystallization method with borax! How much does your beautiful black cat weigh? My KIT, he weighs 30 pounds. He is one fat Loving cat. My son and his fiancé found him in the middle of road at dusk on July 17, 2020, and brought him home to me. I didn’t need another cat, especially, a kitten that needed a lot of attention. Well, the next morning I woke up with s/s of the flu but some symptoms I had never experienced. I went to the doctor; tested positive for covid. My son and his fiancé stayed with me to help me; and to stay away from out people. I was very sick with the coronavirus for 18 days. Two ER trips by ambulance. Had pneumonia & dehydration IV’s and IV antibiotics given. Kit stayed beside me in my bed when I was sick with Covid. I think Kit senses that I am not feeling well for the past 3 days. I have been having weak spells.
Several comments. My 5 cats are contained by cardboard boxes. LOL Thank you for doing pink and silver! I am not a gold gal. And that rose ornament, How about some pearl headed pins????

You know I might just do that because you can use the crystallization in fall decor as well. So maybe I will just create a short video on the crystalization of flowers and other items. Thanks for the suggestion

Well thank you so much for valuing my work. You see the thing is I recently lost two of my cats. They never had a care to sit with me and watch me as I craft. So I do appreciate my new kittens and how much they want to be close to me. I miss my old fat cats that would sit on my couch. Waiting for me to just watch TV but I'll take it into consideration

Thank you! They have gotten so big and they take up so much space on my craft desk. It's hilarious but now I've gotten them used to their little cat containment units which helps just keep them in one area and they also seem to fall asleep pretty quickly
You will get hooked when you start creating these crystallized items. I know you can use twigs as well and other porous materials silk flowers especially work very well with that technique
Do the crystals fall off easy of any items you put them on? I will make some, but wonder will they continue to stay attached till I need them for the holidays craft making? Thanks for any info on doing this...Love your projects...pat
I didn't crystallize them too much so they they are pretty well if they're not heavy heavy crystals. However, if you leave them in and the crystals become larger, I would suggest that you use clear coat spray just to keep them attached. You can also dip dip wooden twigs to get a crystallization on the twigs as though it snow on. You know branches and stuff. Thanks so much for watching
I think it also depends on the material that you are crystallizing with the flowers and the leaves and also Chanel stems because they're made of fabric. They seem to grasp onto the crystals because they're porous materials. I don't know how other materials would work as well, but it's a good idea to test it out again. You'll know within 4 hours if an item that you've dipped is going to crystallize well and if it's porous it's a better chance

You know I hadn't used pink in such a very long time. I usually steer towards blues and purples and greens but I am embracing my love of pink. Next I have to go see the Barbie movie 😂
