The Xmas lights are so beautiful!! U can also make them as earrings!! Oh my word that would look so adorable . The knitting is gorgeous!! You do wonderful work and I love just always looking at the background of beautiful yarn colors!! ❤❤❤❤ Tfs Sally

Hello Sally!! You made me smile when you added your first string of Christmas lights around your neck!! It is so nice to see how far we have come in our crocheting, isn't it?? I love the knitted cushion you are working on. Yes knitting takes longer , but it is turning out so beautiful with all the pretty colorwork that is involved. I always admired my great grandmothers knitting and how she would do colorwork in many of the sweaters/jumpers she would make!! One day when I am able to better my knitting skills, I would love to try something like your cushion, something small, until I can do something larger!! Your Christmas Granny Square afghan is coming along nicely as well. The Red/white edge is meant to look like a candy cane, but since you mentioned not doing that and maybe doing a single crochet and double crochet row or something , how about tying in the white to stitch/sew it together? I think it would be pretty and because you have white in some of the motifs/appliques I think that would work nicely!! I am sure whatever you decide will be lovely!!! What a lovely necklace 😂. I'm glad you didn't unpick it. Like you said, it's history. Grey came to mind with your blanket. I'm not sure why. Maybe inspiration will hit when you've done a few more picture squares. Or a light green maybe. Hmmm. Best wishes to all. ❤️

You know I bet kids would love having a Christmas lights necklace, so a great gift idea actually! Great job with the squares as well, I always wanted to make a Christmas blanket like that. When you finish all your squares and lay them out in the order you want them, you will get some inspiration for deciding what colors to use for stitching the squares together and the border. 😊

Your blanket will be lovely for Christmas The joining colour I would maybe do a contrast colour so you could see it when you join all the squares Whatever you pick it will be nice I am enjoying listening to you as I do my crochet

Hi Sally, hard decision on the sewing up color, I'm not very good at imagining it, but for some reason I would try white because of the snowmen and santas. Hope you and hubby both stay well! 😊❤

What I use when sewing up different coloured squares is either Silver or Grey (Stylecraft Special dk) depending if its light colours or darker colours. Hope that helps Sally. Take care x

Maybe join your squares with white or silver I watched Crystal bag o day sew squares together with the blanket stiche turned our amazing yes I crocheted mind together once and they started coming apart after washing 😊😊
