After traveling from Tirana and the amazing Christmas decorations in Skanderbeg Square, Vlorë has a tough act to follow. It may not be as "Christmasy", but the gorgeous views of the sea sure make up for it. Too bad we cannot combine them both.

Would you say Vlore is a family friendly place? Also curious about Sarande. Coming from someone with little kids. It's English widely spoken?

Have not been to Sarande, so I don't know. English is decent, I have not had any trouble. Kids it is good, but I thought Durres was SUPER great for kids. If you stay near the Royal hotel by the beach there are so many playgrounds for them, and the beach as well.

So, you are stamped in for 1yr as an American...do you have to stay out for 1yr before coming back in or is it as revolving door?

Pretty sure you can come and go as you please, even better, you get to add on the time you are gone. In the states now, but really missing Albania.

Nice video .. I guess there prices will differ in summer time as such coastal cities/ towns will be busy crowded with tourists coming in and Albanians who live in Tirana and abroad for holidays .. how would you compare Durres ( closer to Tirana and larger city ) to vlore ( maybe more beautiful beach etc ) for investment in real estate to get more capital gain growth and yield rentals ? Thanks and enjoy the rest on your stay in Albania ..

Well, I didn't enjoy Durres so much, so probably would not invest there. With the new port and international airport coming, I think Vlore is a better bet. But I could be wrong.

Question: If I drive from Tirana to Montenegro, the US Embassy website says I need a Vaccenation less than 6 months, ( mine is 7 months now ), do you know the boarder of Montenegro will require that ? Or just airport ? Thank you
