Christmas is so overwhelming sometimes. Between the family drama, crazy weather, and so much shopping for presents, it just gets to be too much. So....? We left!
We skipped Christmas altogether and spent a week on the Norwegian Escape cruising through the Caribbean. Sometimes the craziness of the holidays gets to be too much, so we just left. While a snow storm knocked out power back at home, we lounged on the beach in Jamaica. Our cruise stopped in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel (Mexico), and a private island in the Bahamas!

As a kid growing up in Seattle, Washington, I dreamed of adventuring like Indiana Jones. In fact, I wore out my Raiders of the Lost Ark VHS. My Junior year of college I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy for a full school year. During that time I went all over Europe and Northern Africa… I had officially caught the travel bug.
