Christmas Jammies 2020 - "Mr. Brightside" The Killers Parody 

My brightside this year is that a re learned to get out of bed in the morning. Why? Because for the first time in 3 years, my depression isn't taking over my mind and body. And doing school online has helped my PTSD a ton. This time last year I was skipping school once a week at least and couldn't even get out of bed to eat some days. So I'm really excited and proud to say I'm getting better.

This is the family that all of us who were foster kids wished would adopt us

Please tell Lola how impressed I am with her. I remember the turbulence of my teenage years, and there was nothing like 2020 - no friends, no choir, no theater, no school dances or basketball games? That would have been so rough on me! Lola has maintained the awareness and compassion to hug and comfort her mom... it’s wonderful ❤️

Reasons why this year's Christmas jammies is more than great: 1- Mr Brightside is one of my favorite songs ever 2- Perfectly ends an awful year, by acnowledging the fact that it mostly sucked, but also keeping in mind that good things happened too. 3- Kim's tears that mirror mine. Man, it's hard this year. 4- The overall atmosphere during the video, the resillience, the "keep going on" attitude, but with the same face expression I think all parents have on their face right now. Thank you. I'm so glad I discovered you all this year. See? Let's add that to the Good things in 2020 list.

We got the vaccine yesterday here in our Nova Scotia and the first nurse got it today!! We are getting small weekly shipments so health care workers in covid units at the hosp as well as the ER & other high priority peeps get it first then they go from there. Thank you Holderness Family from the bottom of our hearts for getting us through 2020. I honestly think a lot of lives would be very different without you in it. You helped us laugh when we didn't want too and helped us find the good in some really bad times. We love you and hope 2021 is amazing for you guys!! Merry Christmas! xo

There were many days when my anxiety about finances and fear of loved ones getting sick were so intense that I’d turn to your videos for comfort, so many nights when all I wanted to do was dance my heart out at a live show but instead found inspiration in your song and dance moves, so many times that I turned to your videos for the giggles that I so desperately needed. Thank you and your entire family, your videos are such a gift. I teared up at the end too.

I have been watching you guys and depending on you to keep spirits up through this horrible year. And it was working 100%. I stayed in, had groceries delivered, everything I was supposed to do. I preached to my family about masks and sanitizing, etc. Then my son brought this horrible virus into our home. This is how it got me. Now, all I do is cry because Christmas was bad enough without loved ones here. Now this....

Well I was tearing up before the end of the video just thinking of all of the positive things that came out of this year, more support for small business, more family meals, and a mandatory slow down that so many people desperately needed. And then the end of this video, I’m still crying 😭 let’s all thank the kids, all of the kids, because truthfully I feel like they are the ones that have shown us it’s all going to be ok this year.
