Do you go to school all throughout August? I'm making an educated guess that you'll be the opposite to what we have on in england because of the swapped seasons

Beth T So for me this year I was in grade 11 my second final year of schooling as I will be going into grade 12 to graduate. Anyway this year I started school on the 23rd of January for term 1 and finished on March 31st for the Easter holidays which are 2 weeks. We then go back to school on April 18th for term 2 and finish on the 23rd of June for the winter holidays which last for 2 weeks. Term 3 then starts on the 10th of July and ends on the 15th of September which we just call the September holidays which also go for 2 weeks. Then we go back on the 3rd of October for term 4 the last term of the year. And for year 10 and 11 we finish 2 weeks earlier then the younger grades which was the 24th of November. We are now in our Christmas holidays which for 10, 11 grades last for 8 weeks and the rest have 6 week's of holidays. So yeah that's our year plan of holidays. Also I forgot to mention that in Australia we have different states like I live in the state Queensland (QLD) and we finish schooling and our holidays start differently to other states like New South Wales (NSW) and Victoria (VIC) ETC.... but don't have much of a difference.

Yeah, that sounds exactly the same but different time of the year for us in England. So.... September - December is term 1 (winter term.) We have two weeks off for Christmas, there is also a week off in the last week of October this is called half term. January - March/April is term 2 (spring term) and then we have two weeks off for Easter, there is also a half term in the second/third week of February. March/April - July is term 3 (summer term) and then there are about 6 weeks off until the next school year starts and there is also a half term in the last week of may. (I'm not in school anymore so I can't give specific dates)
