@@aristotleasparaguspodcast1129 Not entirely true. This guy did a Nintendo mashup before Grant did. (Though I think Grant's is better.) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vG2bxWoFLJI.html
Hello all! Thank you so much for the comments and feedback. I must admit that I posted this without any expectations, and also didn't intend to manage an actual RU-vid channel, which is why I've been slow to respond. Some of you might also have noticed that I've posted many unrelated videos since then, which I hope hasn't clogged your feeds considering that most of you subscribed for the mashup. This was supposed to be a one-off project, but I'm looking to write other mashups in the future. Most likely it will be national anthem-based as some have suggested, or movie/anime soundtrack-based. Any other suggestions are welcome! However, I'm currently also a first-year university student, so it will depend on how much spare time I have. Of course I encourage you all to subscribe to catch those videos, but just note that progress might be slow. Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas + holidays :)
You could also share midi ( or other material related like sheet music, based on what program you use ). Starting free or directly with a patron ( or similar ) and make a RU-vid channel more musician oriented. It is frustrating that similar artists like Samuel Kim shares also with their patroon only the music, there are only “for common visitator that like Star Wars music “ channel that offer only music, ( with few expectation that share simple music like one simple theme track ..) Ps: to be clear, you have all the rights to sell/take profit of your work, but it will be fantastic a channel also for musician and people that could possibly play the music ecc, rearranging quoting and paying you obviously
Dang the section from 4:02-4:30 was so freaking amazing. I love how you put all the Intense Minor Key Christmas Songs together so fluidly. I actually have written a mashup of We Three Kings and Greensleeves (What Child is This) for a small woodwind-and-brass ensemble, and I think those tunes just go together super well
Loco, eres un gran artista. ¡Te quedó increíble! Una pena lo de White Christmas, pero con Feliz Navidad me encantó la participación de mi tierra. ¡Merry Christmas!
Beautiful. Makes me wish it was Christmas instead of like 100 degrees outside. To make it even better, I'd suggest adding some more modulation next time.
@@gabrieltellez8148 The sheet music he meant was with the Bass line which is playing. And the Presented sheet music is the melody that is all treble clef fool.
@@Dylonely42 To be fair neither is some of the music in this mashup, Jingle Bell Rock is from the same era as Elvis and the guy who wrote Feliz Navidad is still alive and kicking
Well, haven't you heard? We might not have Christmas this year... it depends on what President and Doctor Psychologist All Knowing and All Seeing Fucci decides for us!
I've accompanied choirs on piano for the past 5 years so this would definitely interest me too! The only issue is that I don't have formal training in choral arrangement. This isn't a huge barrier - I haven't had training in composition either, yet here we are - though ultimately I've always been most familiar with piano. The most obvious direction for an arrangement would be SSA instead of a traditional SATB because there are very few melodies in the low range. A more inclusive arrangement would mean reconsidering how some melodies are layered and doubled. Writing the accompaniment should be easy since the "left hand" piano part already drew from my past experience in accompanying choirs. If you're part of a choir and are interested in performing this, we can talk further :) Otherwise, I can't promise I would pursue this - it'd be one of those projects I'd only complete for others to perform, not to post online.
@@WilliamYao Alas I am no longer part of a choir, however the choir I used to sing in was led by a few folks who studied at/teach at Peabody. I will hopefully be getting back into it but with the 'Rona I wasn't going to be driving an hour 2x a week to sing in a large group. I'll reach out to the current music director and see if he'd be interested though. I really do think it'd be a fun song to sing.
@@bigheadface Sounds good, and best of luck on rejoining as Covid clears! If something major comes out of this, we can talk more via the email in my channel description.
