My dear old grandmare made the best rag puddings and Christmas cakes. Cooking i feel is a lost art. Most just go to the shop and get what they need. MMMM I could almost smell that cake :)
Wow, I wish we could buy ice cream in nice plastic containers like that here in the states. I just got an ice cream maker so I can avoid carrageenan, which is put in almost all dairy foods here now. Made my first batch of vanilla frozen yogurt the other night, but had trouble finding something to put it into to freeze. A container like that would be perfect. :)
I just put my inner shell of my ice cream maker into the freezer ready to make home made ice cream for Christmas to go with our fresh berries or the pudding i just shared with you all. i would have home made ice cream any day over store bought.
