Your mushroom leek pie sounds divine and I’m an omnivore! Thinking I might make tiny ones in custard cups as a side dish. Your attitude towards gifts is admirable in a world that’s become so commercial. Mine is similar, I truly prefer to pick up specially suited little things throughout the year for those I love rather than trying to force myself to find something just because it’s Christmas. It really touched my heart when you talked about your ex. My husband of 20 years and I also split in 2020 and are in the process of divorce now. It's been almost a year and although it is a sad ending, Ive had so much growth in the past year since we separated.

Greetings. 22 years ago, at an interview for a job I really wanted to get, I brazenly pretended to be a subject matter expert of a particularly complex area of law. I was young, confident, and figured I could figure it out. Well, I got the job, still work there, and wouldn’t have enjoyed this great career or met my husband if I hadn’t acted on that youthful confidence and sense of adventure. It’s March and I’ve just discovered your channel last month. Hello from Florida. I completely agree about 2020. The struggles of the pandemic have brought with it isolation and financial chaos. It’s been very tough for so many of us around the world but for us, the pandemic has brought us back to the bosom of our home 🏡 and family. We became even more close and had many hours long conversations together and with our 28 year old daughter; we talked about gratitude a lot. So in a way it’s been our best year together as a family. There’s nothing that’s more important to me. I love your channel and you! I have a button that says "Bah humbug." 2020 was good to me for focusing on myself too, I learnt a lot about myself and some of the mistakes I'd made, especially in relationships with others. It sounds like you learnt a lot about relationships too. :) By the way I really enjoyed your video, and I feel much happier and much more comfortable living a more beautiful life. I was in a relationship with someone (and this extended to his family) who rather disliked and spurned anything expensive or luxurious, buying the cheaper version even if it meant they'd have to buy it again and again. I feel so much more comfortable in my skin watching someone who embraces beauty. Thank you so much! ♥♥♥

I COMPLETELY agree with you about Christmas gifts. So....the best gift I ever received was when my husband and I decided the very first year of our marriage (38 years ago today) that we would not exchange gifts at Christmas and we never have. It really is the most wonderful gift to not have to worry what to buy your significant other every year. I highly recommend it!
