Mike Jackson quirky houses watercolour tutorial, winter scene showing lots of quirky houses and rooftops using negative painting. Download pencil drawing from www.somersetar... Brushes from www.jacksonsar...
What is beautiful about your technique is how you use the brush as if you are drawing with it. Loose and comfortable. Not holding it too tightly. I just love that
Thank you for this lovely demonstration, for clarifying what brushes you are using, and for listing the colors on the bottom of the screen. Best wishes from a very wet and soggy Pacific Northwest.
Hello from another Pacific Northwest painter who is as soggy as everything here! Such a wonderfully whimsical artist, isn't he....wish I could do the same. To you, stay warm, stay dry! and Best wishes!
Morning Mike. Another gem - thanks for sharing. Love your paintings, your style is superb. Only discovered your channel couple of months ago, so glad I did. In this video you mentioned the Tor in Mossley, Manchester - I know it. My pal lives in Mossley. Anyway, thanks once again for your videos, always a treat when you post another.
Have only just stumbled across you, Mike, but am very pleased that I did. I love your relaxed presentation and painting style and have just subscribed. Am going to give this one a go. Thank you ~ and have a lovely Christmas 🎄
Here in midwest America, we're looking at a dark, wet Christmas. No snow. Too warm. Enjoyed this video reminder of what a white Christ-mass does look like! Love your quirky houses!
Muchísimas gracias, su tutorial has sido maravilloso, lo he disfrutado mucho a la vez que he aprendido montones de su técnica, espero verlo pronto y seguir aprendiendo de su arte que nos ha brindado de forma tan abierta y desinteresada.
I just subscribed, I will be watching and rewatching it a few times. I really want to paint one like this. I will be binge watching all your videos. ♥️
This would be a gorgeous story book illustration because there is a narrative entwined within. As a child I used to spend hours taking in the beautiful illustrations in my story books and I think that was my earliest art education. Just a small observation, with the light being atmospheric on this cloudy day I don't think the chimneys would cast such a strong shadow as they would on a sunny afternoon. 🙏😊🦋
Bonjour j’aime bien votre style et la façon de décrire les couleurs les brosses et .. Vous prenez le temps de partager votre art. Je débute mais votre tuto m’incite à franchir un nouveau palier .MERCI
Like the effect of your painting. Tried it once, my sky was horrid too purple. Am going to restart. It’s going ok at mo. but, am right at beginning. Yours looks so snowy! Thanks.
Took me 2 days to get to watch the whole tutorial but again...LOVE IT!! I hope to be able to try it after the holidays since it's a busy time. If I tried it now I'd be snicking at everyone to leave me alone! Thanks so much for this video and the instructions to follow, so great!
I just finished watching this tutorial and found it so lovely and whimsical. Love your style! I have also subscribed as I see that your paintings are so adorable! Thank-you for taking the time to do this. 😊
Your work is just so incredible and you make it look so easy! (The sign of a good teacher!) But I've looked at so many of these and can't find anything about the paper you use. Would you be willing to share that info? Thank you 100X!
