Video of people shopping at a Walmart store in Central Valley, New York. Footage of some toys and various Christmas related products. Most of it is at the checkout lane. This is from November of 2006. #walmart
This style of Walmart hasn't changed much. Most Walmarts went through a remodeling/renewing stage in 2008-2009 when the logo changed over and the rollback smiley was gotten rid of. I miss the smiley. Wish they would bring it back.
Your area must not have been completely remodeled yet then. Mine is totally different and a much worse shopping experience. One thing I really don't like is the short shelves they have now... doesn't feel as comfortable browsing anymore and everything is white/grey and boring.@@christiangonzales7429
Maybe it's because I was old enough in 2006 to remember it well, but 2006 doesn't seem to look or feel that different to today in a lot of ways as comparing the late 80s to 2006 would.
Most of the time the camera crew will ask the shoppers if they want to be on camera. Mostly for news footage. The footage is usually silent when shown on the news. Just bits and pieces make it to the news.
Did they actually play the full Cars movie in a WALMART? I never seen them done THAT before. They usually just play clips of a movie on a television screen used for display.
Same. Yet there's idiots today that pay 100k for a car... that was rare back then. Everyone today has this mindless obsession with modernity like it better somehow..
@ 12:23 when she said, Have a good holiday," still sounds like today. Not much has changed. The 90's/early 2000's Wal-Mart is much different and better
My parents are going Christmas shopping this December. They might possibly go for some Barbie dolls, accessories and play sets. I like Barbie most of the time.
What is this type of footage called? It just shows mundane stuff from years ago and no one seems to notice the camera. Is this what they call "b-roll"?
