My wife of 51 years passed way fall of 2021. Your presentation brought back such wonderful memories. Christmas was the pinnacle of our year every year. Thank You for a bit of joy you brought to a now very empty life.
Now, more than ever, we would all like to go back to those more peaceful, more joyful times of the past. So many love ones we've lost that made our lives so complete and comfortable with their love and old traditions. Watching this is a very Emotional experience for us Senior Citizens in our mid-70’s. Probably because these images remind us of Christmas in Michigan. It seems like we always had a White Christmas back then, but as we grew into our teen years those times became a little more rare. Now here in Florida those times are totally non existent. Ho hum.

Oh, how I wish I could go back in time, where my mother and grandparents were with me at Christmastime. How I cherish the memories of days gone by. I recall when I was a kid growing up we opened our gifts Christmas Eve. I still do this to this day. Mom and dad would go out in the car and bring home a real live tree then us kids would help decorate it. Mom always got mad at pop because he's take a hand full of tinsel and throw it at the tree. I think there are many beautiful and reverent places on earth that I would like to visit. In particular, places that were built a long time ago but have barely been touched by humans seem to be truly more beautiful than those that have been touched by human hands. The sweet and gentle piano melody gives a feeling of comfort and healing to the mind. Thank you for the good video and music. I cheer for you.

11/16/2021: Now it is NEAR Christmas 2021. As a born-again christian, I celebrate JESUS’ birth all year long. Christmas is a winter solstice holiday to me. My daily prayer is that GOD would touch the heart of the lost to run to HIM while there is still time. GOD, thank YOU for sending JESUS and what HE did to rescue our souls from hell. Thank You for this treat.. thinking of Christmas makes me cry but it always makes me happy. There was this old house I had in Michigan that my Grandfather built from scratch and he’s had it for years. It was my childhood dream house.. there would always be HUGE thanksgiving and Christmas get - togethers and huge birthday parties.. Christmas was the one seasons where we went off on the decorations. The house was a 3 story and had a huge backyard. We even had the woods we could go back and walk into. It hurts me that my grandparents moved to Florida, and we’re never going to have huge Christmas parties like that ever again. I never knew what would be my last Christmas in that house but it happened. Thank you so, so much for this treat. I cried but thinking about Christmas even in April is a blessing to me. Christmas is truly one of kind, and will never get old. Again, thank you so much for this blessing of a treat. 😭💜
Absolutely stunning and beautiful! I loved the music, the pictures of the "old" cars, toy trains, sleighs, snowman, city and country scenes. I'm 79 and it brought back so many memories of growing up in the 40's both in the city and in the country! Best compilation I think I've seen EVER!!
How Christmas used to be and never will be again. How I wish I can jump into one of these pictures! But I'll try my best this year to ignore modern society and keep the spirit.
These pictures seem to 'do it' for so many of us. We're all visualising the magical warmth and peace that Christmas brought, especially in those past time's where a log or coal fire was something to behold. These pictures depict Family, Children's laughter and wonder. A time for joy, hope and happiness. There are too many world leaders who don't appear to want any of this. This World is unique in our Solar System, possibly totally unique (although somehow I doubt this) full stop. Every Nation should help each other so that we can all, globally, enjoy this degree of harmony and freedom. Let these images give us all 'Hope'...
I found a perfect way to enjoy the music. I have it playing in the living room as I work in the kitchen washing dishes or baking some Christmas cookies for me because we can't share anything in our Senior apartment with this covid going on. When I need a rest, I sit in front of my computer to watch the beautiful pictures and suddenly I'm transported to a happier place for a few minutes. Thanks Rober Hardy for your beautiful collectio of Christmas scenes. I love them.
😯 oh wow and oh my goodness, Just look how beautiful and lovely this is and well put together. I love it and every single detail is just out of sight, pretty much leaves you speechless. I remember back from being a young kid how it use to be like this and everything looked great, especially Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They were good times and great memories. Cannot believe we only have about six more months to go until Christmas is here again. Time does fly by quick today.

It reminds us of the GOOD "O' Days when my parents and grandma were with us decorating and all the good cooking ! My daughter and I , we are old fashion and LOVE IT !!! We bake cookies together, and see the lovely slide show of the Good 'O' Days when family prayed together, decorate together, and enjoy each other like it should be !! Now a days every one is too much into the modern technology and cell phone life..That separates the QUALITY of a family !!! I bet you agree to that ! All those beautiful memories when we were children creating a snowman, observing a beautiful frost paintings on a glass, making Christmas decoration and all family around table in COMMUNION - sharing a special bread, forgiving each other, wishing everything best and hugging each other, and singing carols peacefully, joyfully. Always with grandparents. Thank You all those people - souls who made it so special.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are two of the most depressing days of the year for me. They're beautiful holidays, but it's the culmination of it all, it means that magical spirt-filled season from pretty much September - December 25th is over. I love Christmas, but I by far love the journey I go on leading up to it a whole lot more. Perhaps I'm the only one feeling this way? Maybe there's some sort of connection between when I was little and the whole season just felt like forever, so much to do, not much of a care in the world, but now the days at the age of 50 just fly by for me.
