I'm a royal icing cookie decorator and I have a great tip for making that icing not only taste better...but actually be delicious! 2 lbs of powdered sugar 5 TBLS of meringue powder (I like it better than using egg whites) 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice 1/4 cup plus 2 TBLS of warm water 1 tsp of cream of tarter 1 TBLS of clear vanilla extract It's a total game changer for royal icing! Plus, it's Christmas time, so I'm giving out my own personal recipe! Merry Christmas!
OH!!! ONE MORE THING!!! (and most importantly!) I just absolutely love you! You're so fun, light, and adorable! I hope your Christmas is as SPECIAL and WONDERFUL as YOU are!! ❤
You're just such a delightful person to watch, no matter how I'm feeling. You spread joy, especially when you refer to your childhood memories and your grands. Your recipes are gravy, I love your stories of your life as a child. You are truly blessed. Have a most enjoyable holiday. God bless
Okay so I just made the dough, AND THE ORANGE ZEST!!! OMG!! Never knew I needed that citrus bite in a cookie dough, but I'm glad I tried this recipe. She's the star of the show.
You are so darn cute! I love watching your videos you always make me smile and you could see the excitement exuding out of you for the holiday season! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄🎊.
I have used several of your recipes from cookies to canned beets! They are all very good and you explain things so well! Above all, your enthusiasm just makes you want to try the recipe out! Thanks, Kaleb and Merry Christmas to you and yours!
i'd imagine it'd be so satisfying to see someone really enjoy your cookies with gusto, but not so much as cookie monster where it's all on the floor 😀that's probably too much fun...
I wish you were my neighbor! I 😘 love watching your Christmas traditions 🎄 I love cleaning up the kitchen with the German shiney tradition🥰 I really wish there were more people like you in the world. . . I'm doing your magic in my kitchen with my kids 💖
OMG...I have a bell cookie cutter EXACTLY like that. I have a Gingerbread Man cookie cutout too made out of tin like those. They were my Grandmothers. She was born in 1896 so she may have bought them in the 30's 40's...no matter...they are old and I LOVE them.
Thank you for this post. I am blessed to have ALL my Mom's cookie cutters. Have not made cutout cookies in years due to health issues. But enjoyed watching you and was reminded of the blessing of memories!
You are a stitch! Love your recipes! I too collect Martha's cookie cutters when they were first released so many moons ago! Haven't used them in years so maybe I will pull them out for my granddaughter to make some cookies!!
Like always your work is Beautifully done and those cookies look amazing I made some for my grandchildren and great grandchildren but I did the just a little sprinkles and sugar on top but I am going to re-create some for Christmas day and I am going to try with the royal icing and the bottles and your artistic ability Ha ha ha just beautiful thank you so much have a blessed Christmas
My mom always used the sprinkles and silver candy decorations. I think it was to avoid the added mess actually using icing with 5 kids would have made. I wish we would have done this.
Oh what fun it is !! you make it look so easy - great helpful hints for those of us who are baking challenged !!! that's for sharing and inspiring us to just get in the kitchen and bake !!
The cookie are breathtakingly beautiful 😋..too bad u live so far, mom and I would ordering dozens of those Christmas 🎄..merry Christmas marie and chrissy from 🇨🇦🥰💞
I NEVER WANTED TO DO THEM COOKIES CAUSE IT LOOKED SO HARD. BUT YOU MADE IT LOOK FUN. NOW I WANNA MAKE THEM. AND I LOVE YOUR COOKIE RECIPE. I NEVER SEEN IT DONE LIKE THAT. ORANGE SOUNDS GOOD. THANK YOU FOR SHARING DEAR. GOD BLESS YOU. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
This cookie looks like it's going to be crispy. This I have to try. I have my mothers recipe given to her (Erickson Family Dutch) that calls for lemon extract but it's a heavy cookie. Watching Wyse guy (I like the play on words) makes you want to spend time in the kitchen. Bravo!
I love your cooking and gardening videos. I would love a good gingersnap cookie. I've tried to make them but cannot seem to get a good crisp gingersnap, only soft ones. I wish you would make a video on gingersnaps.
Caleb, I’m a new sub, I wish I had found you much earlier! I love all of the videos! You are a joy!!! I want plant some amaryllis so bad, but I’m afraid I’ll kill them! I may try…
I Absolutely LOVE YOU! I am so happy to have found your channel at this Christmas, 2022! I Love your recipes, But Mostly, the way that you teach, and your beautiful flamboyant personality!! You are now my FAVORITE CHEF! Thanks so much! I live in Winter Park Florida, and I hope to meet you some day!!!❤🎉😊
Don't get mad... 😁 Sometimes, I can't be bothered pulling everything out and well, I cheat. I use sweet short pastry and use cookie cutter to cut out heart and star shapes then bake. LoL. Ice when finished. Makes my life easier when the grandkids come around.🤣😅😂
Hi, where can I find your lemon/orange squeezer? Do you have any recommendations!? I got All of my ingredients and realized I don’t have the squeezer!!!! Will one work for both, lemons and large oranges?
You are so delightful. I fear, however, after baking & decorating a batch of cookies that would not be able to stand up straight. Your baking counter seems very low for your height.
