I’m so proud of my family we all work together to put together 100 Christmas treat bags for the foster care Christmas party. I’m very thankful that UP family solutions asked us to be a part of this wonderful event. We adopted six of our children through foster care and I’m very thankful that we are able to be a part of their lives and their birth families lives. I’m just a watch all my children Pitchin and be excited to help really was a blessing to me because they know how it feels to be in foster care and how it is a struggle to not see your family and not to know what the future holds for you. So my kids really do understand and they were really great with the children at the Christmas party. I’m very thankful that my children are so strong and that they are open to reaching out to other kids who are struggling because they do understand. To where I don’t really understand but kids that I might not be able to reach my kids will be able to. Sometimes it’s a lot easier to open up when somebody has been through A similar situation so they will trust them and open up to them more than they might with somebody like me who hasn’t dealt with things that they’ve dealt with.
What’s very exciting to me is that all my children have said that they want to one day become foster parents and hopefully adopt children also into their family. It absolutely melts my heart my children are my hero and they are the ones that created the mom I am today I give myself no credit. I love my children so much I definitely would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for each of them coming into my life and their birth families that really open their arms to us and that truly love us as their own family. We definitely have a unique family that not has a very different family vibe but the fact that we are such a large family because of their birth families which makes him our extended family.

Thank you for your diligence in protecting your kids and not having a camera in their faces all the time. Your best vehicle for advocacy is your amazing kids and your obvious love and devotion to all of them.

I love what you are doing. I have a suggestion for your kids as mine love it. I buy them all christmas pjs and call them magic pajamas and i buy a book and read it on christmas eve. You do a wonderful job for these kids

I’m adopted from state care and I think you’re a great advocate! Your great relationships with your kids is a testament to that. I love that you’re listening and sharing some of the feedback so we can all be aware of some of the risks.

You are AMAZING! I can’t get enough of your videos! I wish you would do more LOL! You have actually helped me be a better mom! I am doing more and more with my three teen daughters. Single mom here who has my mama living with me. Jesus and teaching music is the center of our lives and you make me want to be a better Christian, mama and daughter! Thank you tons for never exploiting your children. I have been a social worker for 10 years and a foster care licensing worker and now a child victim advocate. I love your family vlogs and think you are amazing. There are other family vloggers that completely exploit their foster kids and in Montana that is completely against licensing regulations and those children would not be in that home. You are amazing and so is your family. We need more foster parents like you and your husband:) and your food always looks amazing and your kids are so happy

You might look into “respite care” if you think you’re up to helping out on weekends!

I am also physically disabled. I am also a CASA for kids in the system. CASA means “Court appointed special advocate”. While the attorney ad litem represents the child, the CASA volunteer acts more like a “friend” and represents what the child WANTS, not what the “big wig attorneys” think is best! I pay close attention to the child and listen to them. With that being said, many times, people who want to volunteer and be there for the child, we highly suggest going into respite care. You can start there, see if you like it and able to volunteer there. Once you have worked there, you may find many other areas to work with. Good luck!

You don't have to have "lots of money" to be foster parents. You only need to have enough to pay your own expenses.

@@CheapsKate77 the attorney ad Litem and CASA work very close together. However, especially for older children, we also listen to, and advocate for their wants, as well as needs. Many times what’s “best for”and what the child wants and needs, isn’t always looked at. However, The courts tend to want reunification, more then the wants and needs.

I understand that social workers are over worked but at the same time when i call to report neglect i expect them to do something about it. Instead he tells me 'well they have a roof over their head so i can't do nothing about it' I called because a father was leaving his 2 kids without food for days. They were living with rats and roaches and the child support he was getting from the mom was all going to drugs. Yet the social worker left them there!! Thankfully those kids are woth their mom now, but no thanks to cps.

Ty for the video but heads up for ya. If in public your fair game to be video'd. No one needs your permission. Sometimes it's common courtesy. Or respect .. kids for me would be a no no. But not all are like that. 5th amendment and all that. Some know some don't.

It's so nice to hear that you're doing your best on being an advocate. I fully appreciate that you realize that oversharing can be harmful. But you are fortunate to have the personality that people love to watch and learn from, and your kids are just an added bonus! How in the world did I miss this?? Ha ha ironically it came up after watching @RadiantBritt as she was showing another YT that make 200 sandwiches 🥪 🤣 but all the person bought was the bread..she never used gloves ..no hair net and certainly didn't wipe the table off bc she was dancing on it days before.....I love how Heather isn't trying to exploit anyone! This is EXACTLY why NO ONE has ANYTHING BAD to say about The Bells!!! How could you?! This is the perfect example of how you can do something and not exploit the children. God Bless you for not being like DD. Heather you are doing just fine..I honestly don't see you doing ANYTHING wrong. You are 💯 doing exactly what you're suppose to do!!!
