M U L T I - C O L O R E D ! ! ! I've never done things because that's what's popular in the movies or on TV or because everyone is doing it. EVERYONE exaggerates the amount of lights on their tree because "they" want to SELL SELL SELL. Their recommendation is 100 lights per foot of tree, LOL! so of course an exaggeration of lights will look slightly better in white lights than in Multi. Multi colored also costs more to produce. My artificial tree is 7.5 feet and I only have 350 multi colored incandescent lights and everyone says it looks gorgeous! Based on the recommendation it should have 750 lights! I also don't have so many decorations on it that you can barely see the actual tree. LED lights are even brighter than incandescent and even less is needed with those and the multi colors are different in the LED version, they tend to have more blue and less warm colors. And don't forget: pre-lit is a piece of sh*t! Everyone complains that their pre-lit tree's lights are going out but you can barely find trees that are NOT pre-lit anymore again because "they" need to sell at a much higher price and again the sheep flock to do as they were mentally suggested, LOL! I don't like flashing or dancing or blinking lights either.
